When was the last time we stayed in the top season and genuinely established ourselves? 70s?

Taking us into the top division is an achievement not to be sniffed at, regardless of what happens afterwards

I haven’t sniffed at them getting us there. Them throwing the towel in when the going got tough is the point. As l’m sure you know

I'm not the biggest fan of Colin, but I'd sack this current muppet (slopped off straight down the tunnel today again I noticed) and get Warnock in until the end of the season, we'll at least not go down then.

He'd sort the team defensively, motivate them and get the team giving 100%. He'd get the basics (back line and spine) in the team right.

And both got us relegated with an abject season - Wilders first was of course very good - How many would call for Wilson to come back. Or McCabe for that matter.

SJ’s stock is still higher in football than either Neil or Chris. Like it or not.
Until SJ gets us relegated that is.

😂
Just Kidding

I hope
😱

Daniel Farke available and soon I reckon Dean Smith will be. Warnock could motivate crap players to keep us up till end of the season on a seasons contract then look for someone younger. Jokanovic not ruling out just yet but if things don’t improve by xmas it’s looking bleak.

Why is SJ stock higher ?
Has he survived in PL ?
He pootled off to Middle East for easy money.
Did Chris or Neil do that ?
Listening to SJ on RS and imagining I was a Blades player , I wouldn't have a clue what he was on about.

CW left by the back door taking no responsibility for anything and took an easy money pay off. He’s quoted as saying he has plenty of offers other than Boro that no one else seems to be aware of. They clearly aren’t better options. As for NW and money, his demands for a new contract took more of his time than coaching, which led us falling into a relegation battle.

As for surviving in the PL, Wilder had an excellent season followed by a total capitulation of a season that matches anything achieved in the dark days of relegations to the old third and fourth divisions. Warnock, great at promotions, check out his PL history. Relegated or sacked.

The pot is begining to bubble, for all SJ success at Fulham and Watford, their not the Blades and never will be because they lack the passionate support.. Successful Blades managers have always had the edge with both playing squad and supporters and so it should be. Promotion is ground out of hard work, commitment and passion, I see none at this moment UTB

Fed up of hearing Warnock tell everyone what a great job he has done and that he had no support (except Steve….who is paying up his contract!) - can you imagine the self serving sycophantic interviews? No thanks- his time here is done. Oh and if that isn’t enough do we really want to see Blackwell back here?

I wish him well. Not pre-empting anything but surely being turned over by two ex-Blades managers at the same club in the same season will be a new one for us?

Looking back, the problem was really in the Championship with Wilder, in that he was a victim of his own success and it all happened too rapidly. IMO he needed more backing at that level, and more time to build, so the bridge to gap would then have been narrower once the club had gained promotion to the PL. What he did, getting that team up, was an unbelievable achievement. But when it's based to a large extent on team spirit and endeavour, it's very brittle. Like he said, in the PL we've all got to be 9/10 to win a game. That's a tall order for any team/manager.

It wasn't just based in team spirit and pashun.
We could play a bit too. 🙂
