FA Cup action live on the BBC...

1-1 for me
take it back to their place and loose

Martin with our goal

So with the new man in charge, what do we reckon the team will be?

I think the sudden air of confidence that has suddenly come back will frighten Middlesboring, the players will be firing on all cylinders again. If we win, that will be a solid foundation for Blackwell to work upon.

One advantage we have is that Blackwell's been up against Liverpool in this competition already and made them work hard, perhaps he could use a better team to greater use?

Kenny

Geary
Morgan
Killa
Naysmith

Carney
Speed
Tonge
Keef

Stead
Shelton

Subs
Hulse
Beattie
Sharp
Martins
Eggy

Team for Sunday.....

Come on then guys, what do you think it will be? Will we be going for the traditional gutsy performances and bring in maybe a couple of youth players?

I'm going with:

Kenny
Geary - Killa - Morgan - Naysmith
Carney - Speed if fit - SQuinn - Martin
Beattie - Hulse

With Blackie back I'd expect to see Tonge involved.

think hendrie shelton and armstrong might get a look in to be honest :)

i just want to see the players having a good old go at middlesbrough

perhaps there was something with Robson which was making us play without passion and confidence, maybe some arguments etc, they may now feel relieved
so come on lads, we have the best squad on paper, maybe West Brom can compete but thats all, im not expecting play offs, but at least a glimmer of hope for next season :D

Will we see Sharpys first goal? :D
So many things to look forward to. :)

Blackwell surely knows the kid inside out and maybe we'll start to see a system that feeds him more. Who knows!

Who's now going to this who wasn't 48 hours ago?

We got tickets anyway... I look forward to sitting next to Foxy's miserable John Street neighbour (no, not Silverfox, the one that sits at the other side) and repeatedly telling him to shut his whinging trap :D

I had my ticket last Sat, but I assume ticket sales will have increased over the last 24-48 hours :D

Usual seat, I will be trying to lead the dead in song.
It really is like a morgue where i sit, anyone would think they had come to watch a film or something.

Im right looking forward to the game tomorrow. Not felt like this for a while!

We're due that semi-final anyway aren't we. Every 5 years......

Played reasonably well today.
Only bad performance in my opinion was Martin, I think Carney has a lot more to offer than him and should start in the next game.
If we start with that formation and lineup (other than Martin like I say) we can get some good results going hopefully.

Thought the pitch looked a bit better today, maybe cos it's been frosty it's hardend up so it's not cutting up as much.

I thought Beattie was quite poor today. Made loads of mistakes.

thought Naysmith was poor too.

I thought quite the opposite of Beattie S64, especially in the first half.

He was alright first half. In the second though he gave away the ball away quite a bit. One in particular that stands out is when he passed it back into one of their players when were at the edge of the box, they run down the pitch with the ball and could have scored.

Anyway, not going to moan. We looked a lot better today. More passion and fight.

Yeh he did do it a few times in the second half.

Was really impressed with the amount of fight in the players. Players were wanting to get the ball!

Only bad performance in my opinion was Martin, .

Think you are being harsh on Martin to be honest. The only aspect of his game today that was poor was his first touch, many times it went past him after not controlling the ball correctly, or to an opposition player. But apart from that he had a good game, good passing/running/crossing.

As I say, it wasn't a bad performance as such, just not to his usual standard.

Aye, agreed. He just didn't show like the Beattie we know today. More to come though from him I'm sure of it.

thought Naysmith was poor too.

Naysmith never ceases to amaze me with some of his decisions he makes. He was rather unlucky at some points with the bounce, but other times he was just poor.

He just didn't seem upto speed for most of the game and was subbed as a result of that.
First touch is the most important touch and it let him down far too much.

Naysmith continues to under-deliver week in week out. He seems happy to just saunter through the game. Happily backs off wingers, let's them get it under control and whip a cross in whereas Geary would get right up their backside and not give them an inch (no jokes please!).
Thought Martin was a bit off the pace yesterday. Kept trying though even when things weren't going his way.

Squinny my MOM, despite the Boro midfield playing Kick The Ginger for an hour and a half
