To be honest Lads, DJ does have a good point in some ways.

The only thing I would say is, we probably offered Prem wages, and thats why he came to us in the first instance. I have no doubt that if a Prem club offered him same wages that he wouldn't have picked them.

But, I don't think BT will go in the January sales to be honest.

What a Wednesday fan is doing hanging around here and trying to offer his opinions on our team is beyond me. At best, it's misguided, and at worst, contentious posts like saying Billy Sharp is a 'waste of money' (three word post! Well done!) are pure trolling.

I honestly don't know to be honest. but it's not like DJ has only just joined the forum to come and wind us up, his posts are generally constructive and fairly unbiased.

It is a Blades forum in NAME ONLY, well thats my personal opinion. Saying Billy Sharp is a waste of money is not trolling really, it seems a fair comment for what he has so far achieved.

He is entitled to his opinions, yeah - just like anyone else - but I would like to put forward my opinion that a Blades forum is not the ideal place to do it. Perhaps Owlstalk or one of the other blue and white fora might be more appropriate.

If we all stuck to our own forums, the net would be a dull place when it comes to forums. I personally like the input from fans from other clubs as long as they are good posters and not coming to just try and wind people up.

DJ's entitled to say what he likes. We don't have to agree with it, and I can see Matt's point about the contentious avatar, but it's only a bit of fun. He's not been offensive that I can remember, unlike a few of the Blades that post on here.
I agree with Matt that if a Blade were to post on any Wendy forums (fora=fish cocks) then the piggies might kick off, but I'd like to think that we can rise above it. If DJ's posts were offensive and argumentative for the sake of it then I would see nothing wrong with barring him. But they aren't. So as far as I'm concerned he can post away to his little heart's content.

The forum is indeed primarily a Sheffield United forum. We do however welcome fans from all teams in the interests of diversifying discussion. In the past, this policy has allowed us to gain an alternative look at things and also gain knowledge from fans of other clubs.

DJ in particular has always treat this site and its members with respect, contributed to discussions and generally been a friendly and welcome addition to our community. So far I haven't seen any sign of him trolling and causing trouble, at most engaging in a bit of friendly banter. Some of those who play forum football have even met DJ, who for a pig, is actually a nice lad.

We will continue to welcome fans of other clubs and differing opinions, however, if any issues arise I'd appreciate it if people could get in touch with me or Linz as a first action.
