Another day another Barnsley player suggestion

This time their big centre half, Michal Helik
He’s transformed that defence from leaky to pretty solid. I’ve watched them tonight, he was fantastic. He was great against Chelsea, and whenever else I’ve seen him this season.
Solid, reads the game well, heads and kicks everything, always talking and communicating and his positioning is superb.

If Egan was to go, he’s be my ideal replacement.
Even if he doesn’t - we could really do with some depth. And he’s probably my favourite centre half in the championship.

They are the Northern Brentford nowadays. Their new financial clout and moneyball aficionados will see them develop into one hell of a club IMO.

Wilder wouldn't be willing to work within a model like theirs. Seems to be a good way of trading though. I also hope they don't go up, but they're storming through at the moment.

They've a few decent players there, Helik and Andersen at the back have been superb. Styles and Brittain and now the young lad Dike looks like a real find (although he's only on loan).

As I live in the area nearly all my mates and fellow footy team players are all big reds fans.one thing I'm getting from all of them are that the standard of footy they play is shocking.big boot into the opponent's half and pen them in.not great to watch but effective.not sure how that would go if they did get promoted.

To qualify your comment - I suspect fees will be paid over summer. However, proceeds from sales (Berge + 1-2 other assets) will outweigh the budget for acquistions.
