Here we go again. we are the only team with 30,000 managers. He only started a few years ago, from amature to the Championship, he his learning too. We might of lost a few points because of him but how many have we won?. I have been a Blades since the 60's I am not the only one but this internet management team is impossible. We can save money to buy new players. Sack the management sack the trainer and let FB and this forum decide who plays or who we sign. I cannot go to every game as I used to OK I watch most games on iFollow now. But when I see the Blades and meet up with old friends its as Phill Collins said "Just another day in paradise".

Easy in hindsight to shout 'wrong team selection'.
We have a 1st team squad of players that should be capable of beating a poor Bolton side with 2 or 3 changes.
IF WE HAD WON, then we would all be saying well done Tufty as it gives us a better chance of getting summat at Derby with a fresher team.

Bolton are the ugliest team I've seen in a long time, and the ref just didn't clamp down on their underhand cheating and time-wasting

You're changing what you've said though. Your original statement:

"Its not physically possible to sustain high levels of performance with the same team"

Its not physically impossible, recovery time will have been sufficient for most players to play Boxing day and today.

Your erratic results comment, whilst correct, there are always odd results at this time of year, isn't necessarily down to fitness levels.

I stand by what I say, Its not physically possible to sustain high levels of performance with the same team, if playing 3 games in 5 days. Maybe I should reword it to - its physically difficult.

Correct, recovery time between boxing day and today should be enough - but then you have to take into account the game on Monday. It's takes about 72 hours to be even back to base level, let alone then expecting players to perform to their maximum. The second day after a normal game the players won't have a high intensity training session - they would usually have a regeneration session at a low work load, then within 72 levels they'll work back up to moderate level. So to expect them to go and play a full 90 mins at 100% intensity within 48 hours, and not expect a drop in performance level is never going to happen.

Especially at our level when the players aren't at a higher quality.

Even Liverpool have had to manage Mo Salah these past two games.

I didn’t recognise us for half an hour knocking it long when we started passing although not at our best there was only one team in it.

Take a MUCH closer look at the overall contribution of the 33 yr old you have just rewarded with a new 2.5 yr contract

In particular focus on possession retention when directly linked in a play phase, and analyse under close scrutiny the overall quality of the vitally important first touch !

Players take responsibility for today's loss. Also, the fans didn't help when in the first few minutes there was a loud groan when Lunny did sumat a bit off. Didn't help him or the team.

Ok without wanting to linger on the point, there is certainly a lot of information available to Wilder and the coaches which would show if a player is at his peak or not, fitness wise, recovery wise. Every player is different in terms of recovery, recovery will depend on how much time a player spends in the higher intensity zones, plus any knocks or niggles.

However, performance, how they play, is another thing. Fleck will be seen as fully fit, sharp pretty much the same, compared to Leon, Clarke should be in much better shape at the end of the game. However, performance wise Sharp wasn't there.

Personally i think that yes you can work with the science and try to put the side out which is fit, but ultimately you play the team to start the game as if you play the team to finish mondays game then the approach is all wrong.

(its actually 6 days as well)

Pretty sure there was a groan everytime a pass was misplaced. Nothing to do with lundstram at all.

Of course it’s been a great year - promotion and winning at the sty the obvious highlights. But that doesn’t mean Wilder is beyond criticism. Persisting with CCV and Carruthers when both have generally been hopeless is baffling. And resting Baldock and Donaldson clearly contributed to an abysmal first half today.

No.but it happens we don't play well and its moan moan moan and I agree with what you say but look at our players all performing above what was originally expected of them.we can' really moan to much everyone has an off day just a pity it was most of our team today utb

If we come away from Pride Park with three points, should Wilder change his selection next Saturday?

Nah
He should sanction flogging Brooks for bobbins, sign Leonard for an extortionate amount whilst stating he' s not as good as Lundstram replace Billy & Leon with Hennigan & Wright up front and then resign by stuffing an open bottle of Peroni up McCabes back passage stating "how's that , tight Arse"

Took the words right outta my mouth...

Succinct.

Message to hazzasufc_ I don't know your credentials, but I have more faith in Wilder's judgment than some angry sweary bloke on a football forum.

Wish i could 'like' this more than once

I've reproduced it so you can have another go ;):

Let me help the cause. Bump.

STOP FUCKING CHANGING A WINNING SIDE

Yes we need a new manager as soon as possible, someone who knows what he/she is doing.

After all what experience does CW have, Oxford and Northhampton Town, we deserve better.

We need someone with proven PL experience, like the lad from Swansea...

My Arse, keep up the good work Chris, best football we have seen in decades yet some stiil wish to follow the 'wisdom' of Brian - the Blade.

18 months ago we were bottom of the 3rd division FFS.

Give it up mate. Embarrassing.

Not sure he doesn't believe it if you look at his initial posts on Clarke.
Yep, he's definitely had a downer on Leon, as many did initially, most of whom have seen the error of their opinions.
However, this bloke/lady goes to great lengths to prove him/ herself right. The latest effort in an attempt to sound clever and educated football wise, made him/her sound dafter.

Glad to see the gender bias finally leaving this forum, though to be fully inclusive it should read him/her/other.

It's a right ball ache to type out each time though.

Was the attendance at PRIDE Park bolstered much by the LGBT community ?
