Memries of Burnley

Just been pointed out to me that none other than Real Madrid subbed off their keeper at half time in a Champions League game earlier this month... and he won the World Cup with France last summer. No shame in getting hooked at half-time after all then, Lee!

Think you've got that the wrong way round. Courtois was the one subbed at HT as he was ill.

Ah yes, right you are, and his replacement was the World Cup winner. So, illness not for being shit then... shine on Lee Baxter!

Thanks Sir, your a gent, sanity retained even if only for a short while. I did look for historical weekly tables but drew a blank, never thought of club records, nice tip that SB appreciated.
20 thousand at the rust bucket, think pitsmoor pig might have something to say about that😊

Don’t know why but I always remember Ray Pointer scoring the winner in 1962 in the quarter final of the Fa cup. I think i was so disappointed to lose and i never forgot it.

84 for the promotion night .. Hull 1-0 up by the time I’d got in 2-0 just into second half and then a lot of nail biting & Imodium Extra , Roger Hansbury heroics and what seemed like a lifetime a final whistle.. fkg elation & several celebratory jars giving the returning Hull coaches the rods from outside the pub in Todmorden ... happy days

Get your hair cut ,get your fucking hair cut.

He had no hair.. And I didn't care..
First time I saw him mid 1970s, at the Lane.

That's the one I remember too. Deano scored a hat trick the previous Saturday and repeated it against Burnley in a 4-2 win. Due to the traffic, we arrived with about 20 minutes left and saw Burnley score their second goal. Great result but not particularly remembered as a great night. As we said at the time, "we'll not forget this night"! We haven't!!!
Other way round. Deane got three v Burnley in midweek, then three v Ipswich on Saturday.

Midweek game, stuck in traffic, far right handing out racist propaganda outside, shit ground, shit game shit journey home..

Shithole..

This might have beenna dream, but I'm sure that tosser that sold the windows in the 90s and screamed "you buy one you get one free!! I said you buy one.." was on the pitch once getting their fans to sing Neil Warnick is a wanker.
Might be a childhood memory, might also be a really strange thing to dream about
