Tidying through some crap in the office, found some of silverfox 's old photos which I've got in piles to scan.

Thought some of you might be interested in a look :)

Will put some more up when I've had chance to scan.

Any idea who we're playing there? Any idea why everybody looks like they're in their mid- to late-30's?

The ad from the British heart foundation had the logo that was first intoduced in 1971

Not sure if it was some exibition match after an open day? Quinns all stars for the pigs?

I've seen all sorts of crap at the Lane over the years! :D

The old john street terracing was the dogs bollocks back in the day. Anybody on there back in 1986 next to the away end when we played L33d$.
Few what a day.

That shirt was 1983 to 1987.

We didn't have any black players playing in that kit and none at all between the departure of Trenton Wiggan in 1982 and the arrival of Richard Cadette in the summer of 87, so it would be interesting to know who the chap in the second pic is.

I was about to speculate on it being a youth match but, as TD says, no one looks under 40.

I actually have one of those shirts. Im pleased to see it looks no more flattering on professional footballers then it does on me.

To be fair Currie, Salmons, Birchenall and Speight didn't appear in that shirt either other than this once.

My money for the black guy would be Trenton.

He looks too old for Trenton. TW was born in 1962 if memory serves so would have been 25 at the oldest at the time.

It looks to me like Francis Joseph

Still looks like Trenton to me

In pic 3 that looks like Lawrie Madden next to Currie in the centre but the lad nearest to the camera looks a lot like the legend that is Oohh Aahh

Too early for Booker or Joseph to be playing as "legends" as neither had actually played for real for us yet.

I have the chap Kenny thinks is Booker down as Geoff Salmons (and in picture 1 along with TC and Alan B).

Perhaps if Silverfox wasn't so damned obsessed with Currie we might have some of the other players in centre of shot!

I meant the lad in the grey and purple look like our Bobby.
