Any idea who we're playing there? Any idea why everybody looks like they're in their mid- to late-30's?
Was it the game before Brian Smith's testimonial game?
Erm, shouldn't it be Memeries????
Memries I think
Yep - Selly is going senile, it appears, with his extraneous 'e'.
It should be Memries, Larders, you're correct.
That shirt was 1983 to 1987.
We didn't have any black players playing in that kit and none at all between the departure of Trenton Wiggan in 1982 and the arrival of Richard Cadette in the summer of 87, so it would be interesting to know who the chap in the second pic is.

To be fair Currie, Salmons, Birchenall and Speight didn't appear in that shirt either other than this once.
My money for the black guy would be Trenton.

He looks too old for Trenton. TW was born in 1962 if memory serves so would have been 25 at the oldest at the time.
Too early for Booker or Joseph to be playing as "legends" as neither had actually played for real for us yet.
I have the chap Kenny thinks is Booker down as Geoff Salmons (and in picture 1 along with TC and Alan B).
Perhaps if Silverfox wasn't so damned obsessed with Currie we might have some of the other players in centre of shot!

Yes he does, is it big bad Billy Tightshirt the other "Wendy" player in the same photo?I meant the lad in the grey and purple look like our Bobby.
