Does anyone know when these go on sale. My son needs 1 as not able to renew his season ticket due to going to uni . Not seen anything advertised

They usually wait till most of the season ticket sales are out of the way. Last year it was about the end of June, so it should be fairly soon.

I used to receive mine just before the season started, think it was about 2 or 3 weeks before the start.
I’m a season ticket holder now though and re-use the same card.

I used to have a season ticket before I started doing shifts, ive never thought about a membership card, how do they work and how much do they usually cost????

Think they about £20 - you get a slight discount on tickets, buy 4 or 5 and get one free (Cat B match), discount at superstore and validate any existing loyalty points. Worth having in my opinion.

I might invest in one, must have a fair few points on my customer number if they accumulate them?

Just found details on site re last year's dated 19th June so anytime by looks of it . Last year cost £25. You got a free ticket after purchasing 4. If you had a season ticket your points can transfer over onto membership card

I think your loyalty points are attached to your customer number even if you've not got a season ticket or a membership card.

I've had a membership card for the last few years. I can't get to many games but I like the fact that they don't have to mail match tickets out to me, they can just activate my card for the match in question. It's a good idea though to take something along to the match that shows which seat you've booked.

Good advice. Personally I always ask for a ticket to avoid complications, a group of lads tried it on once, no bother though, more a misunderstanding

They only add loyalty points if you are member when purchasing tickets, they don't add points for sales retrospectively when you obtain membership.

So they don't add points from your customer number then???

My own experience with loyalty points is that when I was neither a season ticket holder nor a member the points were
registered to my customer number when I bought tickets .
When I started buying an annual membership card they added those points too, just like it was any other ticket that I'd bought.
Hope that makes sense ;)

If you want to buy an away match ticket using your loyalty points. You have to have a current Season Ticket or Membership. The points for that purchase will go on your customer number.

You can wait for away match ticket General Sale and buy a ticket without a current Season Ticket or Membership. The points for that purchase will go on your customer number.

If you cannot/do not have a Season Ticket or Membership for a particular year or years, your existing loyalty points live on your customer number, you don't lose them.

If you're not a Season Ticket holder (I'm not), Memberships are useful. They let you buy Away tickets with your loyalty points, without having to wait for General Sale. They also offer a discount per home game. And a free home game in due course. And the convenience of being able to "load" your Membership Card for home games, so you don't have to rely on the post or queue for collection.

You'll thank me for that clarification one day.

Excellent clarification. Thanks Phil.
