Meltdown over......

The number of threads, twitter comments, facebook posts & media comments is the very reason why I think this is a bad idea.

Yes I trust Wilder in everything to do with the team, but with the dis-harmony amongst the fans & the adverse media attention can we trust that Wilder will be able to stop the players being distracted?

He probably can, but it seems like a big risk for a player that is clearly past his best.

You base your opinions on Facebook and Twitter?

ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON B56!

The media are doing their best to try and crank it up, but it's a non story if we stick together.

And any Pig comes on all rightous over us signing an innocent man, just remind them how they creamed themselves over those vile pieces of shit, Ranger and Madine.

Was there a shitstorm when Swan returned?

It's vitally important to know what some work colleague you don't give a shit about is having for their tea, or to look at their holiday pictures. All hail Facebook*

*I may be being a tad sarcastic here :)

At Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeness, jailed for tax evasion and other financial irregularities, pretty much walked back into Bayern Munich straight off the bat with almost a hero's welcome...

He was jailed for tax evasion? In this country he'd have been Prime Minister.

And I don't give a fat fuck what you think I think about you! You are the one coming across as bitter and twisted by completely without substance, and based on YOUR personal feelings, dragging the name of ONE of the owners into being responsible for this signing over other board members, the owner, the head scout, the manager, the head coach....etc etc etc! You have no knowledge or facts on which to base that theory, other than you. That's why you look as described. For the record...I don't know you and can only base my opinions on what you have written.

The "Hype" is the 500k fee...,the way it's been reported without the clubs backing to coincide with a radio phone in to make it as sensational and controversial as possible in the build up to the last game of the season against the team who holds his registration! Im sure you are smart enough to have worked that out yourself. And are you really questioning priorities of signings for next season, when we haven't finished the current season? You have no clue what the clubs plans are, so why throw that in to the discussion?

And yes....for the speculation and guesswork around the fee, I may as well make up a fee of 100k. It's equally fictional as the supposed 500k....you see that's the hype. Same as the hype around us signing Moore for 500k...Caruthers and so on. The manager put that right I believe, and may well yet come out when he feels the time is right to put the Evans speculation right.
I suggest you trust the manager. You and many others, me included have pontificated over this player and that player and been proven way off the mark.
So I suggest you sit tight and keep your powder dry until there is something actually worth popping your lid for.
I'm in total agreement with you!. I think that wilder is 100% behind this move!. Any further info will come after Sunday!!. McCabe and wilder will be singing from the same hymn sheet guaranteed!!. It's silly to think otherwise after what has happened this season!!. Let's all get behind the lads on Sunday and enjoy the party!.

"IF" it's all true I would like to point to some thing Mr Knill said about goal scorers recently.
"You can try and give people that instinct and, with the best ones it improves with work. But the very best one's, they just have it in them anyway.
As for the injuries, It may have taken the best part of a season to do it but look what they've done with Leon Clarke.

So I could well see them taking a chance if the price is right..

Let's be r8.

A full pre season in a Chris Wilder side is the best chance he'll ever get of getting back to his old self on the pitch.

One of two things will happen:

1. He'll be clearly off the pace, and not nearly as effective as before. We'll be disappointed and it'll prove to be a cheap signing that hasn't worked out.

2. He'll flourish under Wilders management and style of play and be an effective Championship striker.

Now, if 1 happens I'll be disappointed, but I won't particularly care too much. Other signings will be made this summer, and Ched not working won't be the be all and end all.

If 2 happens it'll be an excellent signing and could be exactly that extra bit we need to be a force in the Championship.

It's worth the risk, even for the maximum 500k amount being banded about.
or the harmony that CW has created on and off the field will be obliterated

What really pees me off with all this, is that it's so obviously our own local media that's stirring the pot. They never miss a trick do they? Even Jean Hackett's keeping her head down except for a single section 41 comment.

There's a convicted drunk driver out there that killed two kids and paralysed their Dad for life driving dangerously, and currently he's getting most of the media plaudits for winning Plymouth promotion to League One. I don't know how he could mentally play again personally, but the fact is he served his time and he is, it's like it never happened, and rarely if ever gets mentioned in the media now.

Can you imagine what the Stir and Radio Pig giving him the same grace if he'd played for us? We need to see this for what it really is, stick together and stick two fingers up to the feckers.

Bearing in mind that I am just some random bloke on the internet, I have heard that United were less than impressed it was leaked.

Apparently there has been interest for a while (from Wilder/Knill and not just a McCabe fancy), but we are concerned over his long term fitness. He has a recurring problem (heel?) that we need to be completely sure about before we sign him.

We have nothing to gain leaking it a few days before our celebration game so put yourself in Chesterfield's shoes. You are going down, your fans are very unhappy and you have very few assets. If news 'leaked' out about a transfer it might just stir up other interest and even create a bidding war. As I understand it the fee of £500k is just some random number and not what United will pay.

Having heard this from someone I consider reliable, I am happy with the situation.
-My major concern was that KM was forcing this on CW which I am told is most definitely NOT the case.
-My secondary concern was £500k was a lot for a punt on an injury prone player, but it is not this amount and we will not sign him if he doesn't pass the medical.

If you don't like any of the above, please ignore it but it is not fabricated or guesswork on my part.

By all means take the piss for 'ITK' (which I'm not normally) but I can assure you I am not mischief making.

I doubt it. The players won't be that bothered, most of them have cheated on their wives/girlfriends, it's par for the course.
Some supporters will be unhappy about it but most will calm down before the start of the season, I suspect a lot before the Chesterfield game. He's been found not guilty. That's the bottom line. His behaviour, IMO, was appalling but so was Giggs', Terry's, Rooney's and others. And a lot of us aren't angels either. It'll blow over.

Shit timing that we could have well done without though. It's like the plot from a second rate novel or a shit soap with the writers thinking 'what can we introduce to spoil the happiness? Bride and her sister dying on their wedding night? No, done that. Chairman gets arrested and his wife has to take over the club? No, done that. I know, remember the Ched stuff from the last series...'

"Yes, but what about we pretend it was all a dream and then we can bring back the ones we bumped off and do it all again like Dallas. "
"Hmmmm, I prefer the tram crash like Corrie. Can we move Norfolk Park closer to the ground so a tram could fall into the stand?"
"Too obvious that. What about a plane crash like Emmerdale? A Lancaster doing the fly past at Ladybower accidentally hits the Lane?"
"No just keep it simple. A big fire like Crossroads"
"What about a shark attack? No one's done that yet in a soap and the shark could have crocodile mates with knives and knuckle dusters who join in........"

Tha'd better not be! ;)

How sure of this are you?So Chris you can have the job,but in 12 months time,no matter what occurs, you are signing Ched Evans, sign here please ,yes I can also envisage Chris going along with that, dreary me
We'll know for sure when his autobiography is published, until then we agree to disagree !!

You base your opinions on Facebook and Twitter?

I was speaking about the number of comments not the content of those comments, I have based my opinion due to the amount of negative feedback on all the sources I stated which included twitter & facebook.

Just the same as any company should take note of the comments on all these different types of media, If I feel a decision is damaging the reputation of the club I love then I will weigh up those opinions.

A decent effort at selective quoting though.

So when exactly did Ched qualify as a therapist?

Or have I misread something?

The difference with us and Evans is we have a significant number of fans who think he didn't do anything wrong and would have continued to think that regardless of appeals, retrials etc.
That wasn't the case with the Plymouth goalie.
The issue we've got is whether the club is vindicating those supporters or whether the club cares.
I doubt Plymouth fans sang about the goalie killing whoever he wants but you know what's going to happen with our supporters.
As for sticking two fingers up, who are we sticking two fingers up to? Women who've been treated badly by men?

I like that, I'd watch it.

In the eyes of the law,Ched Evans has not done anything wrong

The basis of your opinion is flawed LB. Its generally those with negative things to say that post. Those who agree just accept and keep quiet.
