I guess if you just shuffle the deckchairs that's what you're going to get.
So many players patently not good enough - particularly up front.
It's looking like a relegation fight and at the moment we don't appear to have much fight in us.
Going to be interesting to see the crowd for next week's relegation six-pointer.

I was glad to see McCabe at the game, probably running his eye over Lita, I`m expecting him annoucing tonite we have tried to sign him.

I've never seen so many 'professional' footballers look so uncomfortable in possession of the ball, its like they've never heard of pass and move. Very, very poor today. We really need to change the mentality of just trying to stop other teams away from home and have a go at them with two up front, and play midfielders and wingers in the middle and not the likes of Cresswell.

McCabe being there might be a good thing. lets hope he saw and realised we need some fresh blood at the lane

Is this a record post defeat post?

The frightnening thing is we've got Evans, Bogdanovic and Cresswell all with at least two years to run and all on decent money - and all players no-one else will want.
Makes you laugh about the fans who thought Henderson was shit and we now had such a 'footballing' frontline.

the 'sunshine band' lives on!!!!!!! Good work Lenners!!!???

I hope McCabe has noticed that he has plenty of labour available for his building sites

Spot on. Hod carriers the lot of them.
No matter what crap Silverfox spouts about people being negative and really concerned. Fact is if it smells like shit - invariably it will be shit.

Well this smells all too familiar to me.
WTTWY my friends and wave to the Wendies on the way.

What is making me laugh long & loud at the moment is Bartley shoving your opinion of him as a player way down your throat. He was our best player today.

Yes, he was outstanding against a brilliant, incisive Boro frontline. His distribution from the back was everything Arsene's looking for.
Jeez, if he couldn't defend against that lot, he ought to retire. Even Taylor managed to look almost competent/anonymous.

He's a good player, you were wrong, end of. Next.

I fond at moments like this you need something to help you reach a happy place.

I recommend this. If it doesn't work then you have no soul.

Sing along folks!

I thought we looked more comfortable on the ball than we have done for quite a few months. At least we killed the amount of time that the opposition has the ball by not hoofing.

We need now to work on forward movement although this would be more effective with two up front.

Funnily enough, they were lined up the same as our midfield, but we didn`t have the Big Glasses, hang on tho .......

No he isn't. But thanks for the admission that you were wrong on Bartley. See, it wasn't so hard, was it?

He didn't make any mistakes against the worst forward line we're likely to play against all season (other than in training) and you've decided he's a good player?
Ok.

Ok.

How can you say that it is likely to be the worst forward line we will face?

How do you know who will sign for the teams we will face? Or who they will play?

What a strange and silly thing to say!

Am I wrong?

:)

No, I decided he was a good player last season when I witnessed him being a good player. Your problem sonny is that you slagged him off during one of your ridiculous knee jerk reactions and, as you have such a long & glorious history of doing, you now have to persist with spouting bollocks in the face of evidence to the contrary. Its a shame really, you do make some good points, but the personality disorder over things like this tend to detract from them.

Len thinks he's shit, you think he's good. What's the big deal Nick? That's football aint it? Seriously, I don't see what the apparant hostility is about

No hostility from me whatsoever Mic. I always respond to Len's posts with a great big smile across me face! He amuses me, always has done, whoever is behind him has actually created a fantastic sitcom character, and I view my very occasional responses to him as doing him a favour by allowing him to come back with something even more hilarious! It never fails!

Either you're being extremely sarcastic or me and a lot of others are really missing something here. The main conversation where I was watching the match was how somebody on loan from Arsenal can continue to aimlessly punt it forward time and time again. He made Morgs look like Glenn Hoddle yesterday (one error notwithstanding) and I don't think we'll be seeing him in an Arsenal shirt in the future. I would say he's found his level, but I think even that might be a bit too much for him.

I just think Bartley needs a bit of coaching, for example, youthy, if you are gonna boot it forward everytime, boot it towards Ched or Cresswell. Simples

Maybe if own lone striker didn't have 30 yards to the nearest support. You can't blame the forward for that performance yesterday there is no way they can hold onto possession when support is non non-existent and they have at least 2 men on them.

I fully think Speed will sort it out but it is going to take time to alter.

worst forward line? Boro have spent considerably more on their forward line than 90% of the other teams in the division.
