I can see were getting nowhere anyway then as when he scores its "virtually unmissable" - give it a rest Lenners

You've obviously just taken random thoughts about what you think a striker needs and applied them to Ched, even if they are incorrect when it comes to Ched
Lack of pace - I'll give you that one although not critical
Inability to control the ball - Wheres this one come from? His touch is good
Lack of ability to bring others into play - Huh? When was this then. He has good vision and a decent touch
Lack of Penetrating runs - How did he get to the one on one yesterday then Lenners, looked like a decent penetrating run to me
Lack of Heading Ability - I've not seen much of him in the air, but what I've seen has been poor.

What about his movement generally, his support play, his shooting, one on ones etc?

Some things he's good at, some he's not - Ched was almost summed up in his chance yesterday and his goal v Cardiff. He has the ability to take the easy chances, but doesn't always have the composure.

Your last sentence highlights where your problem is. Having a go at Ched serves no purpose. The whole lot are poor just now, they need time.

at this moment in time.

See where we are at the end of Jan and even then it might still be 'work in progress'.

Have to agree that the back 4 did perform fairly solidly yesterday, with only a mistake costing us a draw.

As for the Ched comment on the o/s, I also have to question that, as chipsncake has done. How can opinions vary so much?

Even if the service to him was almost non existant, does that excuse his atitude in terms of defending from the front? He didn't have a sprint in him. He needs to take a leaf out of Wards book, who at least showed commitment in closing oposition players down, who at least carried out his responsiblities with some urgency. Yesteday, Evans didn't have a rush in him. His attitude was piss poor imo. One could argue that he was frustrated and pissed off from lack of service, but I don't buy that. He has a responsibility, not least to the rest of the team, but also to the club and fans. He needs to wake up, smell the coffee and pull his finger out!

I don't begrudge our players taking home thousands of pounds each week, but there is a requirement to earn it!

I'll tell you what, if we're moaning and groaning the Boro supporters must be going off the edge of the planet. They were completely and utterly shite, even after signing half the Scottish top division. Complain about our performance if you like, but if that is how they are going to play every week they'll be in some serious trouble, because they aren't going to get a Morgan mistake like that every week and that was the only way they ever looked like scoring.

We got a mistake like that when Ward robbed their bloke and laid on Ched. Unfortunately our striker missed his 1 Vs 1, and theirs buried his. Mistakes at one end and profligacy at the other do not make for a happy combination.

Blimey, len, that's impressive even by your pessimistic standards, Speed's had one game in charge and it's practically over already, Division One here we come.

It's well documented that you don't have much of an understanding of the game, but in case you weren't watching (maybe you had your head in your hands for example),there were distinct signs of a change yesterday. We played some passing football! Unfortunately, some of that involved Monty, or Nossy, but now, instead of hoofing it to the oppositon, we sidefoot it to them instead. Personally, I find it more aesthetically pleasing to watch. I'm hopeful that given tome, we'll pass it to our own men for longer.

Keep the faith!

Unfortunately, Len called the entire summer right which culminated in shocking ticket sales and the departure of the manager after just two matches.
If you can't point me to any post where I've blamed Speed, please do.
Having said that, we took a big risk by keeping two of the three senior figures in our management team when we had the opportunity to make a big, clear, categorical change in approach.
I don't know what Speed can do with the likes of Evans, Bogdanovich, Ertl, Taylor, Cresswell etc, etc. They are what they are.
The ultimate responsibility lies with the man who allowed Blackwell to stay, let him acquire more nomarks and then sacks him two games in.
Can't remember his name but, if I recall correctly, we haven't heard a peep out of him since he sacked Blackwell.

Now look what you've done, Trigs!! You've goaded him into fully extending his dander! It'll take ages to get it back down again! :p:eek:

I wasn't particularly suggesting you were being critical of Speed, but as he's one of the deckchairs that's been re-arranged and you don't approve, that amounts to criticism, though mild by your usual standards.

I don't agree with a lot of what McCabe's done since Warnock's departure, but what do you expect him to say one game in? Now he's paying Birch to run the club, I'd expect us to hear less from McCabe, which will come in handy as another stick to beat him with, as you've done in this case.
