I can't tell if you're being serious or not haha? Either sarcasm is lost on me or you need re-read the tweet. Walk past "gap" and go "up a level" haha! Get it?

Thanks mate. Finding them in a 10.5 for a fair price is almost impossible though :(

Will keep looking 👍

Might be worth a buy. They are a 10 but like I say I think they're on the large side. Also 30 day returns meaning if they didn't fit you'd only be down the cost of return postage which is around £8 for trainers

Nice one! I looked a couple of days ago and couldn't find anything. Might take a gamble on the 10's

Thanks again :)

Aye! Well that wor nothing!

Our dad could only afford t' socks. He used to daub Cherry Blossom shoe polish on me from t' belly button darn t' top o 't thigh, to make it look like I'd got black shorts on. Then he'd smack me in t' nooaz to mek it bleed, then catch t' blood and paint some red stripes on me pale torso, to mek it look like I wor wearing t' Blades shirt. No wonder I didn't used to like football as a kid.

First thing I said to the person who told me about this was "I hope they're not splitting the stock", appalling really. The one thing the club gets wrong consistently.

Stock levels and communication is awful.

I remember our first Championship season, I wanted a training top, they'd ran out by September so I requested an email alert, considering I didn't get one, I assume they didn't restock.

Training gear has been hilariously understocked the last 3 seasons in particular. I don't want to wear a football shirt day to day, but a nice polo or training top that's a bit more casual I'd be all about, as many others would, but they get enough for about a week* and then it's XS or nowt.

The GK kits too, they may aswell not sell them. The black and red kit from last season in an adult size must be the rarest United shirt about.

*Hyperbole, but they really don't last long.

I'm guessing this problem arises for several reasons. One is, football wear is very ephemeral, i.e. it's all about the latest kit and seeing as it changes every bloody season, the last thing they want to do is be left with loads of last year's designs unsold. I know that mainly applies to the home and away kit, but the other stuff changes as well. The other reason is, I don't think they are able to anticipate demand accurately. So they'd rather under order, than over order and be left with stuff to sell.

This kind of calls into question the way the merchandise is being managed, the stock and order systems and possibly the relationship with suppliers. But it also calls into question the commercial nous of the club.

In the grand scheme of things this may seem like a minor point of irritation, but I think you lads who have brought this up have a good point. Now that we've arrived in the Premier League the sale of club merchandise is potentially a huge money spinner for us, not just in Sheffield, but around the country and abroad.

In the past few weeks I've made a couple of trips out to the Far East and Central Europe. I saw sports shops there with Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, merchandise on display. I don't think I've seen a Sheffield United shirt on sale outside of a 25 mile radius of here.

Hopefully the new shop is not just a new location, but a new mindset on how we are going to commercialise every little thing about our club to maximise this fantastic opportunity that we have now we are back in the big time?

‘I was in Meadowhall last week and thought I’d take a look at the new shop.
Simcalblade said it’s opposite Primark. Went upstairs and downstairs and there’s no shop there.
That part of Meadowhall is quite isolated from the main crowd, so thought it would be a bad place to put a club shop.

However I did found a shop due to open soon soon next door to the Video games shop, very close to the bottom of the escalator where WH Smith and Curry’s is.
That area is much busier and a better location for a shop.

Thanks.....when I had a look that’s the only unit refurb I saw too, it’s no where near the relatively isolated Primark location.

It’s across from Jessops next door to the video games shop and very close to the escalators where WH Smith is
so it’s a fairly busy area and should receive decent attention.
The unit looks a fair size too......much bigger than the SWFC shop....which is more of a gloried market stall.

So I’m hoping that they carry a decent stock....both regards the range/ variety and availability.
As already mentioned the club shops tends to sell out of popular sizes quite quickly....then they don’t tend to re-order anything after christmas.

.

Anyone know the official opening date ? Must be soon with crimbo creeping up

In the interest of fairness I am sure Wednesday had a shop in or near the old Castle house Co-Op on Snig hill for years in the 80's.
They did, Mum used to tell me off as every time we passed it I stook my fingers up.
Things don’t change 30 odd years later I’m back visiting Sheffield for M+D’s 50th wedding. As I pass Pigsville,on Penistone Rd, I stick the fingers up - wife gives me dig in the ribs!!!

It was a kiosk. Not a shop you couldn't actually go in it. Remember walking past it as a kid going down subway into hole int road. Always used to wonder how woman who worked there actually got inside.
