"As far as I can tell"

Don't you know?
Of course we don't know. We don't know if opinions are facts or not, that's why they are opinions. That's the point. Just like it could be a fact that CW sent McNulty out on loan because of his work rate. But we don't know if that's the case so why express it as fact?

So 7 points behind Bradford with 123 to play for we have given up competing with them ? You are quality sometimes

Says someone who thinks we'll win the league!!! It was mostly a joke anyway.

So ultimately we don't know why but 3-4 managers have a problem with McNulty.
He seems talented enough but is suspected of not doing what the manager asks him to.
Let's hope he scores a sackful at Bradford and some desperate premiership team come in to buy him in January to probably line a certain persons back pocket with 5 million quid. Maybe.

Oh fuck no. Not the jumper thing. I'm no Gok Wan, but that just makes a dude look like a bellend

Imagine it on a grown man with a lollipop in his month in a city centre bar on a Saturday night.

First, can I say I come in peace- I'm a Spireite and I'm not a 'other team hating' douche. I like the rivalry but not the hate. Anyway..
I can't understand how a player like McNulty has been allowed to go on loan to a rival team.
On loan at Pompy, he looked good and scored some goals.
He comes back, and when your needing a goal scorer, shipped out on loan to a big rival.
I would have had him at town TBH but is there something I'm not seeing?
Can he not cut it at the Blades? Is the player's attitude all wrong and that's why he's be loaned out again? Honestly, it's probably the one transfer window movement I found odd
Just keeping him match fit til January when he's included in the swap deal for Ched ;) Ricky I must remember to read threads more thoroughly

Good question my spireitey chum.

To be honest, we have an embarrassment of riches, too many trying to do the same job and we've let some of the most promising ones go: Adams, DCL, McNulty. I can only imagine that we're invested in those players whose time is now: Clarke, Sharp, Done - all around 30yo and I can only hope we see McNulty as one for the future, when the above are a bit more past it. McNulty and Lavery worked well at Pompey last year, hopefully our board have the sense to see that as a long term partnership and don't flog Sparky.

Move to Bradford is a strange one but could prove whether he can cut regular football at this level, as we've never given him a chance!

Although, despite any of our riches up front, I'd swap anyone of them in an instant for your number 9.

You can take any two and we'll throw in a defender for free

He's flattered to deceive on more than one occasion for us. He would come of the bench score a goal, then start the following week and be totally anonymous and get subbed.
For me he's a 4th division or Scottish football player at best.
I have no problem with loaning him out to Bradford. He will get a chance to prove me wrong, and if he bangs the goals in for Bradford I believe we can recall him in January. He's getting game time and we get to see if he can hack it in this division,
It's a win win win situation for me.
Providing he is not allowed to play against us during the loan that is. There's something to get fatty samuals reaching for his pen.

If he's playing well and scoring (and creating) goals though will we recall him? And if we do will we play him? I'm not convinced on either. All it takes is Sharp or Clarke to be having an acceptable season, then there'll be very little space for him. I could only see him getting a chance here if pretty much all our strikers are hopeless.

and eventually pompeys , sidelined him ,,,, why

not sure that's a fair reflection of how it panned out at Pompey. He was a regular, dropped to the bench for a while and Cook mentioned in an interview he likes to shuffle the pack, then brought back in. 34 appearances and I'm fairly sure he played, and scored, in the play offs so hardly sidelined.

The majority of people posting on this thread appear to think he's shit so it would surely be a bonus if he were to play against us? I'm not sure why people get so worked up about McNulty - he's very capable at this level from what I've seen and scores goals - not sure what the instructions are that he's not following? If our strikers that have played since his absense have been following orders then look where that has got us! I hope he does well at Bradford, if he does you have to question his management rather than his ability

His contracts up though isnt it at the end of this season? And I don't see him wanting to renew another one here if he's not getting played.

Exactly, Chris Wilder explained this. McNuts wanted to be playing, couldn't be guaranteed that at the moment, so shipped out on loan, best for everybody all round, and to be fair, Mark does deserve to be in somebodies starting line up at present.

If Bradford are in the promotion mix and the bloke can score , create goals for Bradford against promotion opposition , we are in a win win situation . There is method in this madness . It's looking at McNulty the footballer , not McNulty the man / faults .

He helps Bradford , He helps us

McNulty always looked like a decent poacher at this level, to me at least. With better service I feel he could be a 15-20 goals a season striker. People have a problem with him mainly for his off-field activities. If that was applied to all players, some people would not be wanting a certain Chesterfield striker to return to BDTBL.

Looks like they've dropped him already, not even on the bench today. :) :)

Spoke to some Bratfud fans yesterday. McNulty did sweet FA for an hour v Bolton and was subbed. They are less than impressed with him. He's playing for a decent outfit in front of big crowds for a team playing well but with a dearth of strikers.... A great opportunity for a striker to make an impression you would think? Maybe the rumours about attitude are both true and insurmountable for the lad. Shame as he's a natural finisher but as was once pinned on our dressing room wall, hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard.

They are less than impressed with a player who has started one match?

Do they ejaculate as quick?

I'm so glad our lass gave me a second date, or am i? :D

McNulty has today announced on Twitter that he's gonna be a Dad, would this be the reality check he needs to knuckle down, ditch the night outs and work hard on the training ground?

If so it's come too late for him here, he may get another team in England but I'd wager he'll go back to Scotland and as we worked out from the Scougall interview, anybody but the big 2 and the money isn't great.

Might not be scoring on the pitch, but at least he's manged it off it.
