Sheffield Utd confirm interest in Rangers keeper McGregor

Sheffield United assistant boss Stuart McCall has confirmed their interest in Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

The Bramall Lane No.2 and former Ibrox idol admitted: "Allan has been watched by one of our scouts and he may be watched again before the season finishes.

"Sometimes you need three keepers in the Premiership and we're certainly looking for someone to push Paddy Kenny."

Dont know much about this guy although we do need a 2nd keeper to keep kenny on his toes.

Gerrard is probably going to leave in January, he's too good a keeper to sit 3rd choice with us.

So if Kenny and Bennett get injured would you be satisfied with Jags in net??

Allan McGregor, the Rangers goalkeeper being tracked by United, has performed a surprise U-turn by agreeing a new deal which keeps him at Ibrox until 2009. The 24-year-old was dislodged from the first team by Lionel Letizi despite a string of impressive displays in the absence of the injured Frenchman.
