Anyone moaning about him, either tell us who should play in his place or shut up.

Crucial to how we play, his link up and his ability to offset Mousset is vital in pinning back the defence how we need to to create overloads and space to play. The goals will come I really thought he could not miss against Norwich and that was a rough one but he'll get one and then hopefully 8-10 more which will put us somewhere between 7-11th.

Some of the ignorance is amazing. I underestimated it.

Having a better finisher in his place would usually be detrimental because we wouldn't create the chances to score in the first place.

People only see the goals scored.column and make their assumptions.based.on it.

how good he is in general play is actually unbelievable and he makes the game look easy at times. Just desperate for him to get one.

Yep, it takes so much skill, intelligence and experience to play the role he does so effectively. He's reached another level at this late stage in his career.

He'll score soon. Then hopefully end on at least 5.

Thought it was going to happen today. Just glad it isn't affecting the rest of his game.

When it does, we're going fucking bananas

Fleck could have put him one on a plate late on, you can't hold it against him for wanting a Premier League hat trick though.

In what world do Sheff Utd have four superb seasons in a row, sit 8th in the Premier League, play exciting pinging overlapping super sexy football and go eight top flight away games unbeaten?

In a world with McGoldrick in the team, that's where. Mad indeed.

Oh David McGoldrick.

Owt else is madness.

If we carry on like this and he doesn't score all season I will be happy. He brings far more than individual goals to this team, just watch back the overhead flick for our second yesterday, class player.

Anyone notice on the MOTD coverage, he didn’t celebrate (or even seemingly react at all) to either goal?

Indeed. I wonder if there was a touch of tge 'cool guys don't look at explosions' about the second goal, like it would be even more impressive if he wandered off nonchalantly.

As Didzy has been on the end of 28 chances, that in itself is good to hear. With full backs and midfield contributing goals, it seems we will soon be in clover. :)

Didzy's overhead pass for our second goal was beyond brilliant. I've watched it over and over. There's not a scrap of luck involved. He knew instinctively where Fleck was running and executed the pass to absolute perfection. For me it was assist of the season so far.

He's struggs for a start IMO. We've proven we don't really need him back urgently.

What's everyones thoughts?

My thoughts are that we play better with him in team. We control the game more and play a lot less hoof ball.

I agree, too much long ball in our game when Didsy isn't there to link the play.
