Deserves a mention. Went through a little barron run, maybe starting with the pen miss against the swine. But, fair play to the lad, he's come in and showed a real hunger from the beginning. You can tell he loves playing football and he's fully enjoying playing for this club. Recently he's got goals and assists, showing his quality. You know Sharp is appreciating playing with someone with such quality, the pass today and the clever header at the weekend.

Best run of fitness and he's improving every game

Always hated it when he was in the opposition team , clever player and seems very calm. Missed a few but seems to have found his touch.

This happens sometimes , slightly out of sync. Clicked now though and looking forward to a few more from him.

Always did look classy. You’re also right about the run of fitness being an issue. He oozes quality and with Sharp, Fleck, Duffy and Norwood anything coming in is going to have to be something special to prize him out of the team.

Absolutely class, what a partnership they have.

Wonder what Ipswich fans are thinking lol

Would still like us to bring in someone as cover, just our luck he’ll be injured as soon as the window shuts!!

Has always looked good, and is now in another purple patch with finishing not being an issue: what a great signing this has been so far.

If I were an Ipswich fan I'd be pretty annoyed.

The stick he was getting around the time of the pigs and Rotherham games was astounding considering the performances he puts in but I guess some people's football knowledge only goes as far as goal =Good ,miss =shit .

He was getting the shots on target most of the time. No surprise the goals have started going in again for him.

Sharp 16 goals, McGoldrick 9

Best strike partnership in the division?
It seems a long time since we had a proper partnership up front capable of 40 goals between them? Shipperley and Webber took us up but neither were prolific. For me we’ve not had a serious double threat since Deano and Tony? Please keep it going lads you’re doing us all proud.

No shades in S2. Brilliant or gash. No graduation, in any sense of the word.

Strange isn’t it how we were fighting to sign waghorn for big money and we’d already got McGoldrick. I’m sure waghorn is decent, will come good and as he’s younger, have a good career but really what amount of abuse would he have received from these pages if he’d signed for us and not fired? Just wonder if we dodged one there.

I made it pretty clear I didn't want him ,couldn't get the image of the lumbering oaf that played for rangers and the fact that McCarthy would have had him playing to his strengths at Ipswich. He might have come in and done brilliantly but I had serious doubts

He came to us as a player discarded by a team that's struggled and he rarely got a run through injury or results
He's getting Wilders belief in him pushing him on to possibly his best form for years.
Every passing game he and Billy compliment each other more in those games. Deserving of regular starts

Lovely footballer. I’m quite surprised someone hasn’t been slagging him off though saying he’s scored a couple of pens in that 9 so it doesn’t count. Also, if you score too many goals within the space of a few games it doesn’t count.

We cannot carry a forward who doesn't score for any length of time and hope to finish in the top 6. Wilder knows this - why do you think Clarke isn't starting?

His non scoring run was a legitimate concern. Now happily it isn't.

For me we dropped lucky when Waghorn signed for Derby. Doubt he would have been a bad player, but we can do much better now in concentrating on a player that plays on the last defenders shoulder.

Might have been a tap in, but still stylishly put away. Well played sir

On watching the goal again , his eyes never leave the ball despite it changing direction several times

He is constantly adjusting is position so that when it does come in his general direction he is right where he needs to be to slot it home. Clever play from him and good concentration. Not saying that Sharp has been coaching him in where to position himself in the box but he has obviously been paying to attention to how Billy always seems to do it.

Good point this. I noticed when Clarke came on yesterday he was an angry man. Chuntering at his teammates when the crosses in the box weren’t falling to him (from Stevens left and Sharp right I think).
He’s undoubtedly third choice at the moment.
