McGoldrick chance a game

Blackman got 6 pens and 5 from open play. that ain't 75%.

And you're a hypocrite. You defended the Blackman sale on the basis that he only scored pens!

Nobody is advocating selling McGoldrick. Many people have praised some of the things he does. He is a good player to watch. People are just saying his goals to game ratio is rather poor given the number of games he has started. There are other options to try, fortunately unlike in 2013 when we got Forte and Poleon.
No I said Blackman had been put on a pedestal when he'd scored mainly penalties to give the club some stick . After he left us he did nothing and has faded away . Mcgoldicks effort is 5 times than Blackman ever did .and he defends for the team .

Pedant!

6/11 can be easily be rounded up to 75%.
With a crap calculator
and socks on your hands
and a complete inability to recognise Hindu Arabic numerals
and with the light off.

?

He said "pedestal" Si.

I can read you know Scott. That expensive public school education was not entirely wasted, although of course I didn't like the big boys hitting me with wet towels.

I said 'pedant', aimed at your good self and explained how a mathematical mistake was easily made. You of all people should understand that, as you always needed to take your shoes and socks off when counting up to 20.

See you at home this Chrimbo. Cook is planning plum duff and caviar snacks for us to feast on in the potting shed and pater has a nice '67 ginger beer which apparently we can drink in 'lashings'.

Christmas shopping with Dad today, off to Leeds to pick up my new 911 Turbo, then straight to the Moor Market for your apple orange and chocolate penny. (Dad is taking the foil off after last year.)

Oh, it appears the dog has eaten all your advent calendar chocolates. Again.....

Love watching big dave play, lovely on the ball and links up well. Think we have just made a lot of wrong decisions in key areas as a team again like last season. Hopefully it will all sort itself out as we have deserved a lot more points that what we have actually won!

Carrying? He covers more work than just about anybody. He brings so much to the team it's unreal, it's not his fault it's only Sharp that scores in the team.

Also, he currently he has 5 goals. At this rate, he will have what, 12 goals for the season? More than reasonable for a second striker.

I agree with everything you're saying but realistically, in games like Saturday when a glorious chance falls to you, you need to finish it. It's not good enough from him IMO. I don't want him off the pitch thats for sure.

According to Benjamin bloom he just can't get the power in his shots due to all the injury's hes had ,hence the free transfer

For me he is a valuable piece of the team ,links up play ,drops deep and is entertaining to watch does a lot more in a game than Billy biglegs but let's drop him because he didn't cost millions

From my observation he hits the ball too well,
Solid shot from 3 yards straight into the defender stood on the line at Rotherham when a scuffed mis hit would have gone in
Solid shot from six yards at Brentford which hit the goalie (Good save but it still hit him) when a scuffed mis hit would have probably gone in
He did the same against Leeds and I seem to remember one against Villa as well when the ball was crossed along the six yard box and he fired it solidly at the keeper. Then there's the penalty

Some players just have a knack of scoring goals, McGoldrick gets into the right positions but for a bit of bad luck and a bit of bad finishing he could be on the same goals tally as Sharp and we'd be 10 points clear at the top

That's the fine margins we're talking about and the boardroom should be analysing this sort of stuff when it comes to buying what we need instead of pleading poverty and talking about the risks involved. It's a risk to buy a new striker when no chances are being created, but when you're crying out for somebody to finish off relatively simple chances it's a no brainer

Missed again.

I love watching him but that’s 4 games on the bounce he’s had a great chance to score and fluffed his lines. It’s cost us in every one bar Brentford.

Played alright today, and you can’t legislate for whatever the fuck Henderson did, but it would be nice if McGoldrick could get some finishing training in.

We wouldn’t have scored if we played while 2019 regardless.

Just like to point out that it’s now 2019 and he’s scored again...

If he had taken the chances he 'should' he would be in the Premiership.

It's ok to be constructively critical and seek improvement, nevertheless we are lucky to have him especially on a free transfer!

Just like to point out I’ve answered this above. He still misses a few along the way by the way.

...as does fans’ favourite Billy. Both keep getting in the right places though. Even the greats, Müller, Greaves (that’s for you Bert), Van Basten et al missed chances, but they all kept coming back for more. Only Pele and Currie have a 100% ‘expected goals ratio’. Blades Analytics told me...

Talking of whom, New Years honours for the likes of Southgate, Kane, that cricket bloke and some netball player and BUGGER ALL for England greatest ever goalscorer. A total disgrace.

No doubt. At the time thought David had 2 open play goals to Billy’s 12.

He’s improved since obviously on the goalscoring front, that’s for all to see.
