"I don't know how that McBurnie gets a shirt. He's wank" - father in law.

Certainly promising if he can do it at Prem level and not just Championship. Hopefully he can he beat his 6 goal record this season.

He was outstanding yesterday they couldn’t live with him. It’s not the fact he was sent off it’s the consistency, Maddison amongst others can try and referee the game as soon as one of our lads questions him he gets sent off. Stick this league firmly up your arse.
Him being banned now again shows up how weak we are up top, I can’t believe we didn't bring in another striker before the window closed.

Would it be worth appealing? Doubt it.

Agree with most about other team and referees, but one thing is McBurnie is known for losing it and players can soon wind him up, maybe his reputation doesn't help him
Definitely first in to defend his team mates, a positive for the spirit shown, way too likely to lose it . Takes no shit from any quarter.

With rules as they are this is a massive negative- demonstrating/ waving your arms/ coming the hard man- totally pointless - he's just hit some form - we need his height in both boxes - but because he's got the brains of a flatfish he won't be playing against The Geordies. Brain dead.

The only way you stick it up the opponent - is scoring a goal - not behaving like a spoilt kid.

Take a leaf out of Hecky's book- the bloke personifies acting totally professional under extreme pressure.

Other than when kicking items on the touchline in a rage. I agree about the risks with McBurnie, he's far from the only one likely to rack up needless bookings. Ahmedhodzic is terribly immature too.

In the 104th min Peter Bankes should have used common sense
Huge loss for Sunday and highlights the wafer thin squad at the mo
To be fair to the ref though, no one apart from him and McBurnie knows what was said, and he did book Maddison for similar dissent when arguing over a goal kick decision

Only issue with the ref here is that he was wrong.

Booked McBurnie for him saying he was having his shirt pulled.

He was.

He was clearly being obstructed. It should have been another free kick but in shooting range.

But what an awful narrative that would have given him. Blades in 105th minute equaliser.

The same hecky who's likely to get a touchline ban 🤣

Can’t appeal double yellows. I went to a sportsman’s lunch with a former PL ref a few years ago and he was asked whether he had ever given somebody a red card because they were annoying. His answer was “no - you give them 2 yellows because they can’t appeal that”.

Stupid tw@t, just keep your mouth shut, refs never gonna change his decision. After missing games through injury he's now got a needless ban.
He's urgently our most irreplaceable player, I look forward to seeing Archer and Traore up front v the Geordies 🙄
Don’t claim for a clear shirt pull, in fact don’t claim for anything, just play the game silently?
Aye, good plan.

He didn’t do anything outside of the rules that should have resulted with a booking.

Be interesting to watch Ref watch on sky this morning and see what they cover on our match

were just too light up front if mcburnie and archer both get injured were f****d and have absolutely zero chance of survival its as simple as that really

If McB's used foul or abusive language then fair enough (even though we see this all the time), but if he's just pointed out that his shirt was pulled then it's absolute bullsh*t. You'd be carding practically every player in every game for dissent. If it's technically correct and in the rules, then card everyone who does it! Again it's the consistency that's frustrating and baffling. Furthermore use some common sense given the context of the situation - we've just conceded two injury time goals so the players' emotions are running high and on top of that, it's a 2nd yellow leading to a red card and suspension. Atrocious officiating.

It's just a natural reaction. Even a saint would probably say "but he was pulling my shirt" to be honest.

Exactly this.

Everton player last week took shirt pulling to a new level, takes his own shirt off to make it look like he'd been pulled back in our box
