McBurnie

Unless we can afford to sign 3 or 4 strikers in the summer of a decent quality McBurnie will be staying. Currently our second best striker for goals and best for MPG by some distance. Had a good season and also had a good season in our first wilder premier League season so for me it seems common sense to give him an extension.

I’d extend, but on similar terms to his current deal. I don’t think he’ll better it elsewhere.

I like McBurnie and think he has a role in a Prem squad.... But.... If any team thinks he will get 20 goals in the prem is seeing him for the wrong reasons and for the wrong role... His role is to distract, defend set pieces and free up more creative players to do their thing by tying up defenders..... There may be others out there who can do better.. And if so... Drop names.

He’s not a player we should be releasing for free. He was a big investment with a decent price tag albeit probably an inflated one. Get him on a 3 year deal & if we’re relegated then it’s a player who we can sell on and recoup some of the fee even if it’s £4/5m it’s better than releasing him.

Didn't he used to have a bit of pace? Not Brewster pace but also not old man Sharp pace either.

McShank would be a mere speck in the rear view mirror of the “Old man” !!

Or maybe your eyes are telling you he is a bit of a hozel rocket ?😉

Used to have a bit of pace 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

Bit of a weird one but did he pull his hamstring while celebrating promotion? I saw him feel it and having to sit down while still cheering with his hands in the air. Or am I going crazy?
McBurnie hugged Brewster, both now out with for 6 months with lumbago, tennis elbow, earache, toothache and septic piles.

Hecky has done wonders over the course of almost 2 seasons - is there another manager anywhere who's accumulated as many points per game as him since he took over at the Lane ?
Total hero.
So now he gets the chance to show his mettle at the highest & hardest level.
Will he have the balls to get rid of those who , though they may have contributed , don't have what's needed next season ?
Will he have the acumen to sign replacements who do ?
McBurnie is injury prone + his form is inconsistent - for goodness sake let him move on to whoever will have him - I guarantee it will not be a PL club because he is far from PL quality.

Thought Ollie's performance mirrored the teams performance - lacklustre first half, much better in the second.

Put his body on the line at times when we were ridiculously short of players in our injury crisis early in the season and we needed bodies out there, even if they weren't 100% fit themselves at the time. He's done well. I might not want him to be a starter for us next season but I'd like him to stick around and be part of the squad. He could do a decent job for us again next season. Deserves his chance too. Well played Olly. 👍

His stats according to FotMob- [lowest mark of any Blade]- 47% passes to WBA players, 60% of aerial duels lost, 50% of ground duels lost, XPG 0.10 xpa- 0.02. An absolute waste of time
No. He wins all his headers so that can’t be right.

And works his knackers off.

Remember that we have used players from the bench this season, to protect a lead or save a draw in the last 20 minutes?

McBurnie, Bogle, Lowe and Norwood can fill those roles in EPL next season. With a limited budget next season, these are exactly the kind of players we will need to do that job, or fill in as number two in a position where we lack strength.

The alternative is to promote from the academy, if those lads have the potential as talented understudy’s, or for reasonable succession planing.

The only other course of action is to sell 2 academy players and buy one first team squad replacement!

Maybe the next new owner has millions to burn. PH doesn’t right now.

Useless AGAIN, thanks fir your contribution this season Ollie but its time to move this cart horse on all the best.
ey dont start posting that mcburnie is useless you will have frank the tank on your case very poor again last night will be totally out of his depth in the premier league get rid
