No idea why Wilder had a constant hard on for sidelining Billy.

We'd have been better improving the midfield to make sure the flow of chances continued because Billy has took them whenever they were provided.

Same here, but I was guilty of writing sharp off, but then he took "sorting his fitness out" to another level.

Not playing him against the pigs on bouncing day was a sacking offence, but then who'd get the adoration of the fans should Sharp have had a feild day..

Not Wilder.

Duffy inadvertently wrote a new page in our history off the bench, look what happened to him...

Wasn't Billy still partially injured for Bouncing Day? I know he was on the bench but I seem to recall he wasn't fully fit.

Not bringing him on in their 0-0 win at Bramall Lane and bringing Ben Woodbourn on instead was a very bad decision though.

He'd been out for a couple of games. IIRC correctly it was a surprise to see him on the bench. Next time he got on the pitch was three weeks after bouncing day.

Fuck me, you're having a pop at Wilder for not playing Sharp* in a game we won 4-2. Have a word wi the sen.

Sharp was nowhere near fit and was only on the bench as a gesture, either to get him into the dressing room before the game (not sure if non-playing squad members would be allowed in) or to give the fans something to get excited about.

Yeah I remember seeing him on the bench thinking, there's no fucking way he's coming on.

It wasn't Woodburn it was that kid from Man U who thought he was the dog's bollocks, James Wilson, and is now plying his trade with Port Vale. That was a shocker.

Let’s imagine you’ve spent a small fortune on a racehorse.

It does okay in its first year, it wins some races and is well placed in others. The next year, it’s not so good. It can barely get to the finishing line in contention, it gets injured, and it bites a couple of jockeys.

The third season is even worse than the second. The once lovely horse shits all over the place, hardly runs a race and when it does it’s got all on to actually run in the right direction. It tries to shag everything in the yard - lady horses, gentleman horses, a goat, the stable boy, everything. And it cannot run anymore and still keeps biting people.

Now you have yourself some tough decisions to make. Do you persist with the horse, do you lend it to someone who might just get it to behave and run races, or do you cut your losses and sell it to the local French butcher who assure you it will be “Très délicieux” in the hands of his mate who happens to be a chef?

I’d be looking up horse recipes.
So what you're saying is that McBurnie should be shot?

I agree! 👍

I hope he comes back fit and raring to go, scores a boatload and get us up, then signs a new contract to help us become an established Premier League top half team.

Mind you, I also hope to win theEuromillions this Friday, and I know which one has the likelier outcome.
Whats your numbers pal?? 😂😂

He's actually detrimental to the team when he has played!

This is the truth

We look toothless and half a side with him in. Can’t immediately find the stats to back it up but how often have we won when he’s started?? Genuinely can’t recall the last time we won when he lead the line

Might be my bias but feels like we struggle to pick up any points when he starts.

I also feel like this when Berge starts deeper in midfield

On reflection, Mcburnie has three options that are most likely.

1- he gets fit, goes on a scoring run, we renew his contract on lower wages.

2. He leaves on a free, goes to rangers or Swansea.

3. He becomes the latest footballer to retire early from the game and announce they are going into boxing, Curtis Woodhouse becomes his trainer, he wins the Lonsdale as a lanky middleweight.
Or 4. He gets found guilty in December & goes to prison.
