To be fair without the full context it looks as if he’s been provoked. The lads look a lot younger than him but there are at least 3 of them. McBurnie will regret his actions but after the initial knee he tells them to get the lad away.

The drink driving incident is totally separate to this and is something that can't be defended.

If i was a dickhead as a kid and ended up getting a clip, i'd run home and tell my dad who'd ask what happened. If it turned out i deserved the clip for being a little prick, I'd get another one off him.
