Many will slate me, but good riddance imo. Could score a goal, very occasionally. Defensive headers ok, but was employed as a striker. Biggest problem was that he was never in the right place at the right time. Never learned a thing from Billy. Trot on to the trotters.

It's possible you're giving the opening post more credence than it's worth.

I hope he stays. Seems to have matured into a bit of a leader. I'm not sure why if he was going to sign he wouldn't have just put pen to paper already though.

Needs to stay, he’s a big character and leader scores 15+ this season with O’Hare, Hamer and Burrows supplying. Light work

It's pivotal we re-sign McBurnie

If it goes to plan it'll work beautifully with him and Moore sharing the CF role, with neither starting more than 30, and both knocking in around 15

If we can get Brereton too that would be special. Him and McBurnie certainly had a good partnership going. Imagine having that partnership in the same team as a Hamer / O'Hare partnership...... at championship level

Don’t. That’s sex wee talk.

Nobody wins the ball in the air as much as McBurnie and his hold up play is very good, I am pleased he's staying and a reason it's taken a few weeks for him to sign could be the takeover, I'm sure the anti mob will say nobody's offered him a contract ,who knows ,I reckon he enjoys it here and wants to stay.

And I think that your absolutely spot on.

I think the hold up was more about the club finding the money than Mcburnie looking around.

If Rangers came to him with an offer he'd be gone, otherwise I don't think that there's anywhere else he would want to go.

I hope this doesn't come back and bite me on the bum now, but I'm pretty confident that it won't.

There are some very Fallowfieldesque posts appearing on this thread.

Just saying.

And 'someone's referring to Foxy and Lindz as 'the gestapo' is hardly endearing is it.

Spoke to my source and he rejected wendy for the mighty blades can expect an announcement in the next few days

McBurnie is a good player at the championship level. Don’t understand some on here saying good riddance if he leaves, it’s stupid. It’s like we have an owl cohort on here.

Wouldn’t want to play him every week with his injury issues, but he’s proven himself capable at this level before. Would gladly take him back.

I think it has more to do with his injury issues, while not his fault he also has to work hard on his mental attitude to be on top form and that’s only really happened over his time here over two decent spells, so I can see why some fans might not be too bothered about him taking up a wage.

Agree entirely, looks like we are stuck with McDonkey, no one else wanted him, including the snorters! Doesn't that say something? If he puts 15 goals away this season I'll hold my hands up in apology.

Hi Stegosaurus here

First Lowe, then our top striker. We're becoming Wednesday's feeder club
We let Lowe go. We let his contract run down without offering him a new contract. Why? because he isn’t isn’t deemed good enough

Obviously though he’s good enough for your lot

not a mcburnie fan and never have been but his resigning could be a vital piece of the jigsaw doubt he will be a first team starter but he will be in the 18 and could be very useful coming on for the last 20/25 in games

Having both Moore and Mcburnie will mean we don’t have to push mcburnie and hopefully that will help keep him fit.
yes think your right plus he can be used in the role he seems more comfortable playing linking play behind a main striker and if weve got good striking options can be used sparingly to protect his fitness
