I think we can do without them next time out.
Time to get the ball on the floor and do what we do best, and show the intensity we did the second half.
Burke.
Moose.
Brewster.
And........ Lunny.
If we're gonna go down at least let's make it a battle. :(

McBurnie actually went to flick on a header tonight and the ball actually went back to where it had just come from. Is that scientifically possible? It could only happen if your head is the same shape as a fifty pence piece.

It's just making us go long all the time, and Stevie Wonder can nn see it's not working.
We cannot carry on with it surely.

We became a threat tonight when two things happened. Burke was finally given a chance and when we didn't punt it forward from the keeper in the hope of a McBurnie flick on. Easy for me, play it out from the back, drop Norwood and McBurnie and play any of the other four strikers.

Yeah I think he should get rid of the flick of hair and shave his head. He got rid of the beard, oh sorry you mean headers !

Also while we're playing it to feet, can someone remind the players they're allowed to take the ball down when they're in space in their own half. They don't just have to head it or hoof it back from whence it came.

Lowe did my nut, have a bit of composure FFS.

Agreed!

A couple of times I noticed the defender marking him just take a few steps backwards, instead of challenging him in the air, and calmly collect the flick on.

And how many times when he won it and flicked it on was Burke miles away, showing a lack of awareness. McBurnie was getting frustrated by it, you could tell.

When people say we should play it on the floor, first half McBurnie was the best at doing that, he linked everything really well and played some good balls into channels and spaces. He played the McGoldrick role really well. People need to take the blinkers off and actually look at what people do.

The goal came from Burke miscontrolling the ball high up the pitch, one long ball over the top they get a corner. Sander fucks up, either Fleck or Burke don’t do their job and that’s that. Another example of how when we lose the ball or mess up possession in good positions we get punished (arsenal, West Ham, West Brom, villa (Egan sending off)).

We looked better last quarter as we throw everything at it!
