Sounds like today was a bad one at Millwall, I've been really happy with Hecky so far but today I think he's made a serious error leaving out Berge, but worst of all letting McBurnie play 90 mins. The comments of fans who saw the game agree with me I think.
Nothing personal but surely Hecky must know by now he's flogging a dead horse - compared to other No 9s what does he actually offer us ? He's not a finisher like Sharp; he can't hold up the ball like Mark Hughes in his day: He has no aerial threat like Andy Carroll : he has no ability to link play like Harry Kane - I use these as examples of style of No9 - so , I ask what does he offer?

Hecky is trying to kick start his scoring by playing, but, in doing so he's wasting valuable games - and , what on earth must Jebbison be thinking! Hecky says he's getting up to speed in training, what speed does he need to be to get picked before McBurnie I wonder. Here is a lad who is athletic, sharp and hungry - in the next games it will be tight, we may only get a handful of chances - you wouldn't back McBurnie to take one, but Jebbison just might, we wont know unless we start him (like Hecky did in Premier League at Everton - remember?)

When we played Burnley in the play off final we had been on fire all season until Evans was taken away from us, Darius Henderson was injured and we ended up with someone up front (Scottish) Beattie, who was woeful - I hope history is not going to repeat itself ...!!

You're combining two play off final disasters there. They do all merge into one!

Sounds like you wasn't in tune with the match.......most of the players offered little to bring a win. Not just M'cburnie ie the entire team. In hindsight poor team selection (but the management team will have their reasons I think)

I agree about today, but, in general I can't understand why he's getting game time ahead of others not just Jebbison, as you say though they must know what they're doing ...
without Hecky we wouldn't be in this position - but the fact remains McBurnie looks very limited, like he's lost it ...whatever the "it" was ...

We signed Ched Evans after the play off final against Burnley

Craig Beattie was Scottish and a terrible footballer, with no visible attributes. 20 years on, and McBurnies the same. A pub footballer at best. He offered a little in the first season but nothing since.

Hecky has got very few strikers and will desperately want him to succeed. If he picks Jebbison in front of him, then that's as good as admitting he's failed. Sharp is 36 and puts a shift in, but he can't play 3 games a week.

It's not McBurnies fault he isn't good enough, but he isn't. Time for Jebbison and Sharp up front against Florist.

It's bizarre how we find ourselves on the verge of the playoffs with an inept forward, who undoubtedly will be in the final when we get there, due to our best forward being knackered by then, God bless Billy!
History is going to repeat itself....

Think your getting your seasons mixed up in the last paragraph

I have never gone at McBurnie until now, but I think he is a lost cause. What's really interesting is how far short of ready Jebbo must be. Hecky isn't stupid, so Jebbo must really be off the mark to not be getting on the pitch. I hope that changes really soon.

I was pissed off with McBurnie even from pre-game yesterday. He doesn't even put the effort in during warm up. Two cones, ten metres apart, players shuttle running between them, touching each cone (or beyond it) with their foot, before running to the opposite cone. Basic shit that's done on a field from 4yo up. He doesn't even manage that. He does as little as possible, turning before he gets to the cone. There's no fire in him to give 100% and when you are so out of form, 100% is the minimum (and yeah, I know, maximum). It's only a little thing, but all the little things combined have added up to a shit #9. The fact he hasn't allowed Billy's workrate to rub off on him at all, for me, means I'm giving up on him.

Bollocks!

He's our striker, he's our number Nine
Let's be honest he's gone fucking shite
A cross at Millwall and the lazy cunt ducked
McBurnie it's time to go get fucked

Yet in videos and on social media he looks up to Billy and calls him a legend. Brewster was and is clearly learning from Sharp but McBurnie just looks like a player who doesn't want to be here.

He has the look that Lunny had last season and the sooner we part company, the better for all concerned. Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them. Part of me would like to see him get on well at another club, maybe back at Swansea. But then again, his utter lack of commitment makes me think no, he doesn’t deserve a break and if his career follows Duffys I’ll take it as kismet for his lack of effort here.

Whilst he at the club and playing may as well back him surely

at the moment (on twitter at least) its a 50/50 fan split thats after 18 months or more with very little goals to show.

He is in a Blades shirt we all want the team to win he needs to show it with goals and effort. (and for pity's sake pull your socks up does he have a shin pad sponsorship or something - has anyone ever found out why he doesnt pull his socks up ?)
