Strikers debate is really interesting and timely. Take a step back though and consider how fantastic this is compared to not long ago when we were playing an injured ched Evans because there were no other options. For me none of the strikers have done enough in the final third to justify an automatic start and I really hope one of them steps up soon. Mcgoldrick for his hold and link up play has looked the best overall and from a sweltering seat in the home end it really looked like we missed him Saturday. Let's hope his finishing practice did more than just produce an injury. Mcgoldrick and Mcburnie to start v Liverpool.

It is quite disappointing. I thought McBurnie would be a stronger McGoldrick who can finish, and I thought Robinson would be one of our main goal threats.

Robinson said in an interview that he only really started doing strength work when he got to us, so that's going to take a while to bear any fruit.

McBurnie I don't know, maybe he's crocked and Wilder is asking him to play through it. Looked quite strong against Leicester, has been barged off the ball a hell of a lot since.

Add to that, we're capable of clean sheets and not needing 2+ goals to get a result.

And if that 10 is McGoldrick, he's capable of playing as a striker anyway.

McGoldrick and Mousset has to be our first choice pair for now.

Playing that way would also give us a better chance of having the sort of possession we had today on a more regular basis.
