The general consensus from Derby fans was ”good getting forward down the wing but struggles defending“
The MK Dons fans said the same regards George Baldock.

Wilder say him as someone who can slot into the left wingback position....learning from Stevens.

However the most effective players are often based on teamwork and partnerships.
The main ingredient of left side defence was O’Connell....and he’s missing....sending all our normal planning to pot.

Last season we were generally better attacking down the left...with O’Connell often overlapping Stevens to great effect.
This season our right hand side with Baldock is much better.
Stevens when playing centre back isn’t confident enough to get forward as much...meaning Lowe is often on his own when attacking down the left.

Also we‘re much more defensive this season lacking confidence.
Lowe was bought to defend....he was bought for his attacking/ crossing qualities...but he’s not able to use it enough.

We’ve lost all attacking from down the wings cause Baldock can’t attach as much cause there’s nothing coming from down the right

Max Lowe has me on the edge of my seat for all the wrong reasons. Losing the ball or making stupid tackles. Would say ref did us a favour when he didn't book him again but maybe it would benefit us him being out the team.

Max Lowe is not good enough for the PL. I am unsure why our scouts didnt confirm this before we spent the money. Derby fans certainly could see he was a poor defender and he is.

Sorry Chris, but a terrible signing for PL level in your terrible transfer window.

You’ll always get this though. Some players just don’t work out at certain clubs. Could be the coach, doesn’t suit the tactics etc. If Steve Cooper gets the best out of him then that’s got to be a good thing - even if we don’t play him again but it increases any sell-on value.

Really is a baffling tactic from forest to actually play the players that they sign ? Surely when you sign a player you should decide not to play them like we do with mcburnie/Brewster/bogle/hourihane etc…
