Let's talk about the elephant in the room.

Anyone else absolutely had enough of him now?
If we can get any sort of fee I'd get shut tomorrow.

Offers nothing but running around a lot. Can't defend, attack, cross, score or pass. It's been time to get shut for a while but considering it's January we actually can - so let's do some sensible business. We're still a way off promotion yet. Let's make sure we have got everything we need to make it happen rather than 'going with what we've got' as we've done so many times.

Well, at least one of us marked the "Runaround" card quite a long time ago.....

Awful non-footballer.

Matt Done was not the only poor player on the pitch, but he was pretty invisible today. McNulty did nothing when he came on, neither did Scougall

He didn't do much today. I watched closely thinking I may have been a bit harsh on him in the past. I've campaigned for a while now that he's no striker and I stick to that, but I thought he might offer something at wing half but he hasn't done much there either. I'm afraid he's one of them players that we bought during his purple patch but he's well off the pace of late. Pity, but let's be honest, if he can't do it at this level in a very good team then his days are numbered.

Thought Lavery and Sharp linked up well today. Disappointed we took Lavery off tbh but it was interesting to see what McNulty might offer. He came close to scoring twice.

Get rid of MC Nutts before Matt Done, there's a decent player in there low on confidence, commanded a big fee when came from Rochdale and was best player in many games under Nige.

Never seen what people see in either one to be honest, they may have a place but sorry it's not iwith the Blades .......
Totally agree. Thought McNulty looked sharper than usual today and would fancy him to put a chance away over Done but that isn't necessarily a huge compliment.

Wow, blaming someone other than Stefan Scougall? What a pleasant surprise....

Done will sweat blood for the cause, he's not good enough up front and he's certainly no wing back so why is Wilder falling for the Adkins trick in playing square pegs in round holes? Especially when we have a new signing that is supposed to be the bomb. Even stranger Scougall came on to replace him which is even stranger, is Riley injured?

Scougall is shit too and offers nothing, for the record. I don't really slate him that often to be honest, me thinking he isn't good enough for us a starter is fair enough. It's true.

What confused me most is that Wilder was laughing about the fact Adkins played Done LWB last year yet he's doing the exact same thing. Hussey must be absolutely atrocious in training.

Think he didn't wanna risk Riley with his hamstring problem, he's just getting fit - 2 games in a week might be too much of a risk.

Agree with this one. Done, Scougall and Reed need to go. Good lads, just not good enough. Jurys out for me in Clarke and surprisngly McNulty (the latter could be ok if he had a half decent attitude which im not sure he will ever have). Personally i tbink the latter two jusy wont do it in Utds colours.

Done is probably a model pro....just not good enough. Remind me again which managerial genius spent nearly 600k on him....

Get a few of 'not good enoughs' off the wage bill and bring in a decent no nonsence organiser centre half. Morgan at Wigan....or the black lad at Oxford (forgot his name but is their main man at the back) would do for me.

And I think, correct me if I'm wrong, every one has come down our left.

And all of a sudden O'Connell has gone from being our best defender to looking very suspect.

Is it a coincidence that having a piss poor LWB is making our CBs look bad?

Hopefully Tuftys Striker laden rant was a smokescreen and the defenders will be getting a real tactical drilling this week!

I hope both do, we weren't good at either end today. Mind you - 2 goals at home should be enough to win.

Yes I too blame the 80th minute sub Stefan Scougall for todays events. Can't beat the hive-minded pitchfork brigade, may as well join them.

I was also wrong to blame that giraffe on rollerskates Mr Basham and the tosswank central defender Mr O'Connell who moves at the speed of the average glacier.
I hope that the Court Of Sheffield United Mob opinion accept my apology and also my application to sign up.

And for good measure, that Billy Sharp? Doesn't do enough for me.....

I find it bizzare how much you dislike first teamers JOC and Basham yet love glorified substitute Stefan Scougall.

JOC is a class player on his day, really good footballer. The strongest of the 3 we put out today.

When Stefan Scougall starts persistently costing us goals and points I assure you my position will change accordingly. As it stands I'll blame the wankers who are currently doing so yet any criticism is verboten for some reason.

32 goals conceded with no sign of a let up. Yeah, lets blame Done and Scougall for that whilst convincing ourselves that our established defence are fit for purpose even as they fuck everything up......

I don't even like Basham and I prefer Wright but I admit he's played quite well until last week. JOC has played very well for months. We concede cos we play such an open game with no real protection from the midfield.

We also play with a wide open defence with zero positional sense or speed. They're all happy enough to push forward for their slice of the glory. Not so much when it comes to fulfilling their actual job description, i.e defending.

Don't you think they're working to instruction? Being told by Chris to push up?

They could well be, but sooner or later he has to realise that we aren't equipped enough defensively to fulfill that role. If we try that method against Bolton and Scunthorpe next month we'll get turned over.
