North Sheffield. NOT South Barnsley.
Is he the most athletic, fittest player at the club? He never seems to stop running, chasing and closing down opposition players (and keepers). He must be supremely fit to keep running at the level he does for 90 minutes. Really glad he got the goal today, and one day soon he will catch a keeper out and embarass them with a tap-in when they keep the ball just that bit too long.

Always gives 100% if not the most subtle of operators.

Be interesting to see what happens when Lavery is fully fit.

So the other week when Done was complaining about staying on, has paid off. Well done Wilder

At last he is playing in his strongest position and he has found his form again. I think we can all agree that he isn't a left back!

Were finally seeing the best of him. But it revolutionary tactic from wilder. Utd buying a striker & manager playing him upfront. Unlike the manager who had brain fade or was high on something to put him at left back. But the work rate with done is fantastic. Never gives up always stretching the defence. Like Gary Neville says defence love it when the infront of them need to turn them

credit again to CW , instilling belief back into Matt to refind his mojo
probably playing him where hes supposed to play , unlike Adkins did , has something to do with it

Ouch Ricky you weren't always so complementary about him!

Still not a big fan, and I don't see him keeping his place in the team long term. But he's done better recently and it's good to see that the partnership with Sharp is workable, if not ideal, with the way the team's currently playing,

Sharp n Done is here to stay. Get used to it !!!

Just got home. The guy I spoke to who'd been to the game told me the score, naturally I was jubilant, clean sheet etc, and told that Done did well but the keeper was probably MOTM, can anyone confirm this opinion? Really happy for the team and Wilder, unbeaten run (ok, it's 4 games but you take your happiness where you find it!) and we're moving up that table. Anyone got thoughts on Lavery today too? UTB

You can't argue with his goal scoring record when played correctly.

I think he'll play a key role for us this season and will almost certainly outscore Clarke.

Sharp and Lavery, eventually, IMO.
You might be right. But that would be dismissive of Done !

Lavery is an unknown quantity at this level. Sharp and Done are not and that's what it boils down to at the moment.

Shame about Leon. Not his biggest fan but I think he is a useful sort to come off the bench when a situation dictates. But only that.

Owt that keeps Clarke off the pitch is fine by me. We're building up a head of steam, it's starting to gel and we're loving it. Last thing we need is a big slow lump up front, giving free kicks away, missing sitters and changing the way we play.

He ran his blood to water today and it was all positive running. Not around like a headless chicken.

I can't fault the guy, if he'd just got a bit more pace to get away from players when he gets in a good position he'd be an even better asset to us, but that can be said of Sharp and even Clarke. Maybe Lavery's that player?

He thrives on the simplest of goals. Where wingers get in behind the back of defences and cut the ball across/back. Why? Because he times his runs well and has that inch of sharpness that allows him to get in front of defenders. Watch his goal yesterday and it is symptomatic of all that is good in simple, attacking football. Sharps hold up play, the ball to Freeman and the cross in.
