What is it about the lads personality then?

Don't know, but last year he commented on the "macho culture" that existed in England when he was there. Some of it was good for him as it toughened him up. But one of the things he didn't like was teammates' views on women's football. Dæhli grew up with some girls who went on to become internationals, and his girl friend also used to play, so it was probably a bit personal for him.

The question would be whether he'd fit in with the rest of the lads I guess.

This is Cardiff fans views when it was announced that he'd left.

Thanks Bergen.
Considering Utd now have a ladies team that wouldn’t be an issue surely? Quite the opposite I would’ve thought!
Anyway a moot point as there’s no way this lad will be on our transfer radar!!

He was a bit immature at Cardiff. I'm not in the know really, just hearsay. When a player of his undoubted quality is not playing in the top league of whichever country he's in, then it makes one wonder about what has gone wrong.
I have no doubt Wilder could sort him out. He is one of, a few players, I would actually pay to see.

He'd get on with O'Connell then, considering who his missus is!

Quick update on him. He's at Sander Berge's former club Genk, but it's not going well for him there. The manager who brought him to the club is gone, and is he's not in even in their match day squad at the moment.

As Norway's last international squad were hit by Corona, they had to put together a new team of foreign based players to play Austria. This emergency squad was captained by Møller Dæhli and he led them to a heroic and creditable draw in Vienna, having conceded a late equaliser.

So he should be available at a knock down price. As has been mentioned he is a bit like Duffy, and if we're heading for the Championship, and want an option in a number 10 role, he could be a player that would be useful for us. Even now I think we should be looking at players who can possibly give us more creativity.

I really, really miss Mark Duffy. Or more specifically, I miss how we used to play when Mark Duffy was in the side.

It's such a shame he didn't get a crack at the Premier League with us.

He was very good in his prime but after leaving us he has struggled to get in both the Stoke and Fleetwood teams.

It's all about the set-up for a lot of these players. Duffy was so used to this system, and was such a central focal point, that I don't think you can totally write him off based on how he's since done playing for two other teams with different ways of playing football. There have been plenty of players who have thrived for us who, if you sent elsewhere, likely wouldn't do as well. Our player of the season last year is probably one. That's not for me to say Duffy would've been successful in the Premier League. I just don't think how he's gone on to do for Stoke and then Fleetwood gives any kind of full indication as to how he'd have played with us. I would have just loved to seen him get a crack.
