Has anyone else had a parking ticket issues by a Minster Baywatch for parking in the Grosvenor Casino? I have parked there a couple of time since they installed the CCTV controlled parking and received 2 parking fines, £100 each.

I have appealed the first one but not heard anything back and then another one for a different data has arrived this weekend. I have the parking receipts for both.

Has anyone else had problems?

We got one a couple of years ago and got it scrapped on appeal. Circumstances a bit different to you though. We are members of the casino.
If you've got parking receipts you should be fine surely?

We are regular users of this car park on matchday, it used to be pay the guys on entry with limited parking around the perimeter.
Theyve now got pay and display signage up so its now a first come first served park in any bay car park.
weve paid via the Ringo app, and have had no issues.
just be aware that these companies will look to issue as many tickets as possible, its how they make the money, so ensure you do not have any wheels slightly overlapping a bay marking line cos there terms and conditions on signage will state this.
did they issue a ticket for non payment? if you have a receipt with vehicle registration to cover the period then theres no reason why your appeal should be rejected.
its amazing how many people pay up becos of the intimidating letters issued by parking management companies threatening double the fine if not paid within 14 days.
they do take ages to respond, its a ploy to get you to pay.
make sure youve submitted all your evidence either on line or via recorded delivery, and be patient

When did they go to Pay & Display? We used it for the Millwall game this season and there was a bloke on the gate and another to direct you into a parking space..

Albeit some years ago I used to park there daily for Uni. The rules then were the spaces on the edge were P&D and the internal spaces were casino members.

Minister Baywatch ran them back then too, one day I received a fine. I appealed it as I had paid, scanned the ticket, highlighted it was valid at the time they issued the ticket so there was no reason for a fine and they simply emailed back and said "no you'll have to pay the fine"

I just ignored them after that, eventually they went away. I know people say they can sometimes take these situations higher but since I literally had a valid P&D ticket I fancied my chances in any legal battle.

This…….We always use it if we go anywhere for the day on the train and we once received a ticket for parking in one of the the ‘inner’ bays. We complained that the signage was smaller than required to highlight the change to parking conditions and didn’t pay……the signage was ‘suddenly‘ made more prominent.

"we once received a ticket for parking in one of the the ‘inner’ bays" - that may explain it. However, I have not seen that anywhere but I will go and look. There is a load of T&C's but it is too small and complicated to read, I would need to pay for a days parking and take a solicitor to try to make sense of it.

When parking for the match you have to buy a all day ticket £5 paying for 3-4 hours in not enough. That said when I last parked there about 20 people were queuing for the one ticket machine and it was a right faff after putting in the car reg number it decided it didn't like my bank card, switched to another bank card and it worked. Other people were stood there downloading the Ringo app to their phones, I've too many app's already on my phone to fuck about with another one.

The first time it would not go above £2 and loads of people were stood around having the same problem. The OK button is labelled up as Valid, what the feck is Valid~? The second one I paid £5 so was very surprised to get another ticket. The time cannot be increased above 22:00 even though it says All Day.

I am appealing the second one and will go to court if they push it. The signage is shit, the machine is shitter and the whole lot seems like a scam to me.

I take it these are a Private Parking Company? If so irrespective of whether you paid the correct amount or not just tell them you weren't the driver. All they know is you're the registered keeper. I've done this quite a number of times at different locations. They stopped bothering me every time.
