I posted 2 threads earlier this week - one looking towards our final 11 games, which compared a set of forecast results with Burnley, and another thread which compared this season with our best ever seasons at Level 2 and pointing out that we need 94 points for this to be our best ever Level 2 (ignoring seasons before 1893/94 which had less than half the number of games, so are not a fair comparison).

Anyway, in doing the above, I left out 2 of my usual graphs - Paths to the Prem and Comparing with Recent Championship seasons.

As I have received several complaints for leaving these out I have attached them below!

I pointed out in the Burnley thread that I think that there is a fair chance that we will need 95 to get ahead of Burnley - but I've left the usual 92 point Autos target on here for now. (My forecast for us is 96 anyway.)

As I pointed out in the other thread, after 35 games we are just 1 behind Warnock's 74 points in 05/06 and a massive 8 points ahead of Wilder's 65 points in 18/19 - and we're achieving this in a season with a 2-point deduction. (Warnock only got 1 point in the next 4 games - remember that (!) so I hope we fly past that one soon.)

I promise to post a Matchday 36 update of these graphs after Preston on Saturday evening, after my long drive home.

Brilliant GraphMan - we all missed the “trickle of piss” dripping away from the Playoffs Possible line!

this is why we shouldnt panic when we lose a game or drop 2 in a draw , all the other combatants will have stumbles in these last 11 as bottom clubs fight for their lives and some chase the elusive 5th and 6th spots.no 2 seasons are ever the same but the pattern of 2 or 3 and this time 4 are chasing the automatics seems to be every season, its rarely 6 or 7 bustling to a finish.
Its all about consistency, something we have done this season just above the 2 points every game per centage . we do that 22 points from 33 available should be enough , taking us to 95

last season was 3 high points finishes but 3rd were still 6 points adrift on 90
I reckon 95 would assure top 2 as it would have last season and most seasons before that

leicester 96
Ipswich 96
Leeds 90

It’s funny, when the graph with the oinkers first appeared, I really disliked it, possibly because I was slightly nervous that they might make a push for the top six. Now I really enjoy looking at the “trickle of piss” 🙂

No doubt sausage has managed to get the very best out of a motley collection of dross drop outs, but to maintain a push for the playoffs you need 2 or 3 really good quality players who perform well in 60 per cent of your games and must look to attain 75 points to be in with a chance of 6th except in seasons with more drawn games when points totals drop. Bannan alone is not enough , and its noticeable hes slowing down, as most 35 year olds do, especially when carrying the whole team. In my opinion the owls never stood an earthly of making the play offs mainly because they cant defend and struggle to maintain a good level of play over 90 minutes

They never had a chance because they're crap. Rohl has worked wonders getting them near the top half to be fair... But they might easily still finish 16th or 17th anyway.

I just expended it to give sausage a bit of credit , in the final analysis , yes , they are shit
