little bit about there boro from me(a fan)

we play like you did under wilder. we have different players with strengths/weaknesses.

we are probably weak in attack. none of our strikers are good. all of them are wasteful and struggle to get involved in dangerous areas often enough. they cant make things happen on their own. watmore probably the exception but he struggles to be consistent enough. wilder prefers him as an impact sub second half.

our midfield is strong. howson has been class lately, tavernier has 4 lungs and matty crooks keeps scoring and seems to have a great link up with jones on the right side.

defense paddy, fry and dijksteel are all impressive when on their game. dijksteel can struggle with concentration and have sloppy touches and caught out occasionally, but hes quick and often recovers. fry is a bit good (dont tell anyone) paddy seems to good to be playing for us in some games warnock absolutely loved him.

we play high up the pitch and can be turned by quick counter attacks, thats the best way to hurt us.

our main threat is probably jones on the right. if he keeps getting the ball high up the pitch he will make teams pay. he often just gets the ball and recycles possession seemingly doing nothing. then if fancies it he will just hit the accelerator and beat two players and put one on a plate for someone. watch out for that hes a handful and has an eye for a pass to, no just a one trick pony.

i'm really looking forward to this game. i think after fulham, us, you and forest and the best teams in the league. probs all be in the play offs. hudders and qpr will drop out. blackburn i dont think will keep pace either but they are hanging in there atm.

I played in the same football team as Matt Crooks' dad in 1983 . I am friends with Matt's mum who was 4 years below me at boarding school. She is now married to a good friend of mine and they live in Sheffield (they and their 3 sons are coming to tomorrow's match). I have known Matt and his sister since they were young. She is coming to tomorrow's match with her partner who is a Blade fan.

good player matty crooks. he flopped at rangers. so when we signed him i was expecting him to be just a warnock big lump who just tackles and wins headers. but from what i've seen in manu and spurs games in the cup. hes better than players they had in the middle(mctominay/fred/winks/hoijberg). very underrated player.

He was at Man U Academy until he was about 14. I remember watching him play for Huddersfield Academy at Shirecliffe (SUFC Academy) with his mum and his grandmother. He played for Huddersfield 1st team in a pre season friendly at Bramall Lane, and in February 2017 he played for Scunthorpe at the same ground (his dad and his partner came to my house for tea after the match) so tonight will be his 3rd time. Last spoke to Matt at his mum's 50th.
