Not sure about Evans & Lundstram in the middle. Feel like they’re very similar players, but I suppose it’s better than having Carruthers in there.

A nice little 1-0 will do me nice tonight.

Well deserved start for the captain tonight too!

This anti-Lundstram thing, my theory is that it’s partly an image problem.
Let’s face it, he’s an ugly bastard. I know that’s not done Fleck any harm but Lunny just doesn’t look like a modern footballer. Unlike say Evans (both of them) or Leonard or even Holmes with his poncey top knot.

To me Lunny looks as if he should be milking cows somewhere and I believe that consciously or unconsciously some Blades have decided he doesn’t look right for what our great team has become.
Just a theory, mind.

For me, the problem with Lundstram is his lack of speed in moving the ball on. He seems to labour with it which is ok if your winning a game handsomely, but not so if you are trying to break a team who have banked a wall of defenders between you and their net and you need to get a move on in getting into the attacking third.

He's got potential...just needs a rocket up his arse at times.

You might be right also NB. Lundy does also look a gormless chuff.

Great move that looked like a much clearer penalty than against Leeds with the challenge on Sharp. We’ve just missed what should have been a sitter for Clarke but Sharp made the wrong decision to chip it with his left foot...

Gormless chuff ... the phrase I was searching for ...

Blades can't afford to be this wasteful, I don't mind saves/blocks but got to get your shot on target at least/

Bit of a weird game – we’ve played very well in spells and looked sloppy in others. Both Sharp and Clarke are looking a threat, but QPR are trying to press us in possession and have had a few decent spells in the half too. Could really do with a 2nd to settle things down.

Gift of a goal to give away that. Lundstram makes a bad decision to concede possession, and Lee Evans, who up till now has had a decent game, just gives up despite tracking the guy most of the way. Really disappointing, and has given them a way back when we looked comfortable.

Now they look the more likely to score.

Well that’s a huge relief, but was horrible to watch after they got their goal back. We reverted to desperate kick-it-anywhere tactics, and were decidedly Norwichy those last 20 minutes – which I don’t mind when we’re taking the piss against Norwich, but like a lot less when it’s not. Still, delighted with 3 points.

Probably two of our scrappiest home performances and we've taken six points from them.

Poor goal to give away, yet another goal conceded from outside the box. However, they had a fair few chances, this wasn't a one off speculative strike.

Should have had it sewn up, poor goal conceded and we're all over the shop for the final 30 mins.

3 Points.

Got away with that one tonight. 3 points and onto Friday flecks back as well

Should have been well out of sight first half. Blackman does well then we go two nil up. We completely lost it when Evans got caught on the wrong side of Freeman and he ran on to score. Dunno if them changing shape effected us but we started to get killed down our left. Lundstram deserved motm and i thought our back three were excellent.

True but you can't play well every week, to win when not at our best is a sign of a good team.

They were out of it at 2-0. It had a 4-0 game written all over it, then we gave them such a soft goal. Was shouting at Evans to foul him before he shot. Coutts would have had the shirt off his back!

Will take 2-1 all day long though :)

My first reaction was that this would have had a Coutts sacrificial booking all over In that sort of situation. As it happened, the exact thing happened again which Evans did on that occasion take the booking for – so he learnt quickly at least...

We were excellent for most of the game, and seemed to be playing with a swagger again at times. But credit to QPR, they moved up a couple of gears after their goal and really went for it, as you'd expect from a Holloway team.

All in all, well chuffed with the 3 points and 2 wins on the bounce. UTB

Well, other than Lundstram switching off and nearly letting them in for an easy goal in the first half (his man received the call from that quick free kick) and the fact it was his awful use of the ball that led to us conceding the goal, I thought he was.... decidedly average. Again. Sorry guys, and it’s evident from the MTM vote that I am missing something with this guy. All I saw was a guy being laboured on the ball, skew a few out of play and not create a single opportunity.

Look, he’s not awful, but he’s basically Lee Evans but not as good. And we don’t need 2 in the same team.

On the other hand, the ‘real’ MOTM in my opinion, was Richard Stearman. Absolutely phenomenal tonight, capped off with a goal. Also thought JOC and Stephens were excellent too.

Wouldn’t bother telling me I’m wrong about Lundstram because I’ve accepted I don’t see him how others do. However, I also would expect him to be dropped for Fleck on Friday....

He learned after that and brought the other lad down.
