So after the decent but ultimately unsuccessful exploits in the cup on Friday night, it's back to league action in a far more important game, with the visit of QPR. And according to Sky's preview Leon Best is recovered after illness which kept him out at Leicester :) QPR are in indifferent form, as are we to some degree I guess....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Revert back to the side which started v Leeds?

But with Brooks certainly getting some game time?

Surely Billy is back as one of the certain starters?

Wilson seemingly facing a late fitness test....

So with this now coming to the most important stage of the season for us, and QPR pretty much likely to finish midtable, it's a nailed on home win ....right? Well there's no such thing as far as we are concerned, but it certainly looks a chance to provide the impetus for the next few very winnable games... QPR's away form is pretty poor too... Anyway I'll stick my neck out and suggest a 3-0 Blades win with Brooks notching another first team goal....

Same team as Leeds with Lundstram replacing the suspended Flecck. Brooks and Holmes coming off the bench if it’s still tight after 60. Or Leonard coming on to close things out if we are up in the game with 70 gone.

I was thinking maybe Holmes in for Fleck, what with being a busy little bee and all that. I reckon Lundstram would be too slow in the Fleck position so for me it's Ricky. We should be winning this but on quite a few home games this season i have felt the same. Cautiously i say.....2-0 Blades..

You really think important games like these are the time to give players a chance?

Samir is finished at this club.

Fleck is out...hence someone gets given a chance in his place.

Unless you fancy playing with 10 men.

Samir in for Fleck. The lad needs to be given a chance.
You don't just give a player a chance to earn a run in the team. A player needs to earn the chance to have a run in the team. He does this by giving 100% in training, reserve/U23 matches, spending every waking hour studying opposition and banging on the managers door asking to play. IF this earns you your chance, you take it with both hands and leave everything you've got out on the pitch.

He started v Leicester, so presumably he's been decent in training

Tonight will highlight that we need to sign proper competition for Fleck in the summer.

Lundstram is the likely pick but I wouldn't mind seeing Carruthers play in a role that would probably suit him best. Although work rate is still an issue with him.

Clarke and Sharp up front for me, with Donaldson starting at Hull.

Leonard will be in for Fleck- better than Lunny going forwards and Evans will be sitting deep.

Don't get the confusion people have with our formation.
Holmes, Carruthers and Duffy are attacking midfielders that play behind two strikers.
Fleck, Lundstram, Leonard and Evans are deeper lying midfielders that play in the two behind the attacking midfielder.

Holmes in for Fleck for me......Donaldson alongside Billy....Brookes off the bench, but given a decent amount of time (30mins)....depending how the game pans out. Come on Blades, we must win games like this if we are to get in the playoffs!!

Id stick with same team that beat leeds other thab obvipusly fleck who misses through suspension and think it will be Leonard that replaces him with Lunny coming off the bench late on to see the game out. I don't think fleck missing is the end of the world with Leonard and Lunny that can play that role but obviously some people do as I read through the comments. I don't think this is a game to mess around with the team to much as it's a pretty good chance of going one point behind Bristol city so id just go for the one swap and the closest to a like for like replacement them been either Lunny or Leonard and think wilder will do the same. Can see brooks and Donaldson getting some time on the pitch as well later on in the game.

I have not seen much of Leonard so I cannot challenge your thoughts however I do think it is harsh on Lundstram to be left out as I thought he was just hitting is stride and his range of passing was coming to the fore.

I'm not sure about Lundstram and Evans together - I see them both competing for the same type of roll in my opinion and it seems a bit negative at home. I don't think Lundstram can bring the ball forward in the same manner that Fleck can.

I think it probably has to be Leonard in for Fleck as he's more similar in terms of filling his shoes. I think Ricky is competing more with Duffy than being a box to box midfielder
