6 months ago we booked 4 nights in Bologna. Lo and behold it turns out I miss 2 home games.:( We found a shrine to San Girolamo, but I couldn’t offer to say a prayer to him because it was closed! :( So I am now praying for 2 victories at the shrine of San Peroni.:) Hope the Blades survive without me.

After the hoo har about Lundstram I can't see Wilder dropping him even though the 'Bash/Stearman alternative' is an excellent choice, so all you guys complaining about Lundstram well done you will achieve the opposite of what you hoped for. Thanks.

I agree, no way Wilder will drop Lundstrum, if Flecks not fit, he's a certainty to start. I think they'll be a few changes tonight to be honest, expect Clarke and possibly Washington to start up front, with Johnson in for Stevens.

If that happens, I hope we get a result or this site will be in meltdown

2-1. Lundstram with both goals, one of which is a thunderous volley, but also scores an own goal and is given a straight red with 10 minutes to go. Large proportion of the fanbase to label Lundstram “an absolute disgrace” for nearly throwing away a victory.

Back in action at BDBL this evening with the visit of Birmingham City and a great chance to make up for Saturday's disappointment. That's not to suggest it's an easy game as Birmingham will be desperate for their first win of the season. I expected to beat them last season at home too, so nothing can be taken for granted....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Fleck now fit?

Otherwise keep it unchanged?

:)

These are the types of games we should be winning if we have ambitions to finish in the top 6. But as we don't do clean sheets we'll need at least 2 to win. Mind you we don't do draws either so I'm going for 3-1 Blades win and back into the top 6 :)

I like your optimism. The "these are the types of games we should be winning" always fills me with dread though.

I think we've played really well in every game starting at Bolton away a few weeks ago. And I expect us to play well tonight. But I think they are going to sneak a win!

Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck is expected to play against Birmingham after recovering from a groin injury.

Paul Coutts (broken leg) played 90 minutes of an under-23 team game but is not yet ready for first-team football.

Midfielder Craig Gardner remains a doubt for Birmingham after picking up a knock in training and missing Friday's draw with West Brom.

Garry Monk has no other new injury concerns to deal with as his side seek their first league win of the season.

I can see this being a very tight game but fancy our beloved blades to win 2-1.

No wins for them all season.

I feel a curse coming on... I’ll be watching my hotel bar in Zante. Cheer them on for me lads x

Bold move.
If Wilder has decided this necessary to keep us fresh throughout the season, so be it.
Let's see what our squad is really made of.

Norwood's diagonals to Johnson are going to be lethal.

Is IOM Blade CW in disguise ?

So the front 2 have paid the price for not capitalising on our dominance on Saturday. Bold decision to bring both Clarke and Washington in.

Willing both clarke and Washington to score but doubting either will.
Make me wrong lads make me wrong!

Especially with Clarke and Washington’s recent scoring record? :(

There I’ve said it! Goal apiece for them 2 now to prove me wrong. UTB!
