Back in action at BDBL this evening with the visit of Birmingham City and a great chance to make up for Saturday's disappointment. That's not to suggest it's an easy game as Birmingham will be desperate for their first win of the season. I expected to beat them last season at home too, so nothing can be taken for granted....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Fleck now fit?

Otherwise keep it unchanged?

:)

These are the types of games we should be winning if we have ambitions to finish in the top 6. But as we don't do clean sheets we'll need at least 2 to win. Mind you we don't do draws either so I'm going for 3-1 Blades win and back into the top 6 :)

UTB

Fingers crossed. A win, the league table looks very healthy

Nailed on first draw of the campaign just like last season.

I've got £20 on 1-1 and £10 on 2-2.

The bits I've seen of Brum this year reminded me of some of our games last year. Lots of the play, can't score.

By law of averages they have to start scoring eventually but hopefully not tonight.

Id predict a loss at their place but I'm going for a 2-1 win

Apparently they’ve been playing quite well this season. Their fans think they are in a totally false position.

They usually create plenty of chances but really struggle to score.

Agree, although they’re near the bottom, wouldn’t surprise me if it’s a 1-1 draw.

A draw wouldn't be bad tonight.

Because we should really be beating PNE on Saturday, who'll be minus Ben Pearson.

Birmingham are NO mugs, the table might show them to be,but we will need a Villa type performance or we will get done.

If Fleck plays we won't lose.

If his Burtons dummy standin plays we wont win.
If Fleck is still out then I fancy CW to push Basham into Midfield - Stearman to come into the side. Got a sneaky feeling he will put Clarke in for Goldilox

Two home games that could see us march up the table usually leads to disappointment. I can see two draws.

Pretty sure I heard on RS yesterday that Fleck is available for selection.

He tends to keep things close to his chest so as to keep the opposition guessing doesn't he? My feeling is that he's playing... that may be hope speaking mind...

1st goal key, they get it and it could be a long night, we get it and it could be another Bolton, Villa. From what I've seen of them though, they're in a false position based on the way they've played so a tough game as ever.

They've looked decent mostly by out running sides so would like to think that won't happen against us. Jota the danger man.

They are in a bit of a false position, 100% if we're not at it we'll get beat. We turn up then imo we're a better side than Brum especially at home

Fleck if he's fit, Clarke for McG for me.

Tough game. I've watched Brum a couple of times this season, and they create a lot, but don't take their chances, they're a bit wobbly at the back though so there'll be chances for us too if we choose to take them.

We know Wilder isn't one to rotate to much.

If Flecky isn't fit, I'd personally push Bash into midfield and bring Steers back in. Also wouldn't mind seeing Johnson come in for Stevens as he's just to complacent for me. Can see Clarke getting the nod over McGoldrick tonight as well.

Birmingham fans seem to think they're in a bit of a false position having played well but finding goals and wins hard to come by. I think it'll be a good contest but I'll stick my neck out and say 2-1 to the lads in red and white.

Its always the side that hasn't won in 1000 years that comes and beats us! its the united way.

The optimist in me thinks that we will win 3-1 though. Fingers crossed.

Listening to his interview, think he might rotate a bit tonight. Johnson, Baldock, Washington, Clarke and hopefully Fleck in for Stevens, Freeman, Sharp, McGoldrick and Lundstram.

Splendid idea .

Let's dismantle the team that crushed Villa and produced one of our best first half performances in living memory and start all over again.

WTF ???
