Not prepared to write Lundstram off by any means, he needs more matches to get up to speed. But on the basis of his performances against QPR and then tonight he is not an adequate replacement for Coutts. He's not as good defensively, and he's not as good with the ball. He was lucky we didn't concede when he gave the ball away in a dangerous area second half. By the last third of the game my impression was that the centre-halves were deliberately avoiding giving him the ball in exactly the situations Coutts would usually take over and start bossing it.
Like I said, give him time. But my guess is we'll need to find someone else to play that role.
