yeah it looked like a broken leg. Looked like the femur too which will rule him out for a few months.
Femur? Seriously?
Only broken femur I recall in football (1960's) was Bobby Collins of Leeds against an Italian side (Torino?), as a result of a thigh high assault on the little fellah, he was out for an age and rarely played football effectively again...

Coutts is not an easy player to replace, fingers crossed for the lad.

That was a fucking penalty all day long, what's with the fucking refs?

I’m as gutted as anyone about Coutts.....but we will be ok.....I’ve got a feeling Lundstrom and fleck will get by very well...and we can look to strengthen in 8 games time.....good luck couttsey...you will be missed...speedy recovery.

Not prepared to write Lundstram off by any means, he needs more matches to get up to speed. But on the basis of his performances against QPR and then tonight he is not an adequate replacement for Coutts. He's not as good defensively, and he's not as good with the ball. He was lucky we didn't concede when he gave the ball away in a dangerous area second half. By the last third of the game my impression was that the centre-halves were deliberately avoiding giving him the ball in exactly the situations Coutts would usually take over and start bossing it.

Like I said, give him time. But my guess is we'll need to find someone else to play that role.

Good to win, deserved to win.........but Coutts did not deserve that injury, hope he comes back quickly.

His replacement for me is not Lundstrum gave the ball away too many times tonite,if Baldock is fit then i would move Basham into the middle.

You say it just like i see it.

Carruthers is the man, he passes the ball well, just needs to be adopted into sitting deep.

Problem being none of the other players retain possession, make the passes Coutts does.
Maybe Stearman back push Bash in?
:(

More of Duffy/attacking player though eh?
He looked lively for his cameo mind...let’s go all out attack!

Bollocks - that’s the season - thought that was his best game.

Wish the ball had gone in for him.

We’ll be in the Prem for you to come back to Couttsy.

You Were Magic Tonight

A decent performance under difficult circumstances. Their goal against the run of play and we looked comfortable until the Coutts injury understandably shook the players. O'Connell man of the match for me, commanding performance, so good at breaking up play and getting us on the attack again. His new contract is the best news this season.

Fair point, but weight times distance in a full blooded effort like that means a lot of force into a studded boot of the defender.

Unfortunately you were right force equals change in momentum and his leg was going very fast!!

We’ll be waiting for you in the Prem Couttsy.

You Were Magic Today

View attachment 33362 Better angle. Shit, looks broke to me.
Shit......what a cruel game football can be.
My boy who’s seven said to me only yesterday “Dad,I don’t want to be a footballer cos they get hurt”
Next time he picks up my fender I won’t be so precious about it.
Get well couttsy.
UTB.

Saw tonight's result, in raptures, read and saw the fuckin horrendous shots of Coutts' let, fuck, every silver lining has a cloud with this Fukin club.
