Fookin hell!
It's only my opinion but can anybody say anything positive about the way in which this guy plays football since he's joined us?!! Fookin strap back!! The man's abysmal and offers nowt on the pitch.

Very poor signing.

Will not get better.

Has any club ever signed a good player from Millwall ?

If Mceverley takes the gold medal for being utter wank in the last few games I have watched then Woolford is a very close silver.
I did however think they were alright playing as a pair second half against Colchester down the left. Maybe shite +shite = ok?

I thought he had a decent second half against Colchester and scored a good goal...apart from that he looks no better than Ben Davies who we released in the summer.

Been very disappointed with him. I wasn't expecting an exciting winger but I did expect him to give us some strength, work rate and have decent ball control. He looks like a 60 year old man at the moment

No pace, cant trap a bag of cement, passing is abysmal (even sideways), finishing laughable....what's not to like?!

I think that's extremely insulting...

...to 60 year old men.

Awful "footballer". It's not even that he doesn't add anything to the team, he actively makes us worse. We'd be better off with 10 men.

He makes, and I never thoughts I'd say this, Jonathan Hunt look capable...

Unfortunately he hasn't improved since the pre-season games. Even with playing time he doesn't look match fit. WHF Jr Sr points out that he automatically gets the ball trapped under his feet, I'd add that atm he can't pass over any distance long or short, nor can he beat a man.

It was a miracle the other night when he scored (and from a throw in).

I wonder if he's trying too hard.

On the plus side I think he does the defensive side of his job well, and his corners are well delivered.

Despite all the above I think he perhaps offers solidity after Che has run himself out and maybe sub would be best for him.

I really hope it comes together, but we're far enough into the season without any obvious upward trajectory in form to suggest that isn't around the corner.

McEveley won a penalty against Colchester.

He looks a bit lost in it all. Bit of a slow start, however looked like he had started to fit in, assist for Billy at Swindon, then suddenly his wheels have fallen off, along with axel, exhaust steering wheel job lot. It's like during the International window's the pikey's have taken the scrap.

I know we had to pay Weir off , Clough off and all the associated back room staff . I know Woolford played in a succesful Scunthorpe side many years ago . But shouldnt it be telling us fans something about our actual finances , and the financial framework Adkins is having to work in, if this is the level and calibre of player , we are in the market for . Are loans the answer to resolve our issues , or are we in the same bottom drawer player recruitment in the loan market . No idea , but up to press , it doesnt really fill me with confidence .

Is it Adkins , board , or all associated with the club , or is it we are punching above our level publicly , but in truth we are struggling on and off the pitch, so not punching at all.

The problem is we are signing players that are on the way down. To me we could be signing half a dozen players from League One / Two 25 and under. Cherry picking the best young talent. There are players even now at these levels that would give us hunger and pace (look at Wilson in Prem League now, Vardy same). Our scouting is clueless (Adams a rare good un). Its not Champ manager but signing dross like Woolford, Coutts, Higdon, Alcock etc, really is criminal. What did people see in these players?

With the relative success of Che, I'm surprised we haven't looked at more players from the leagues below like him.

Adams and Wallace were the findings off Simon Clough . Lets hope the new scout fella can unearth some hiiden gems both for now and the future . A market that definatley needs tapping . Always better to scout by watching than scout by DVD.

The remit is always to get up in one season. Given that demand, managers will always go for experienced players, and a League 1 club will always get them as they descend. Meanwhile our promising players are getting taken by those above. An ugly combination.
