Did you ? I saw him at Ipswich
I saw quite a few on TV, and read the views of Rangers` fans over the period. He certainly didn`t meet realistic expectations. As for Ipswich you most likely know more than me. Did they wish to keep him or was he part of a fire sale ?

Gone to Coventry.
As has Moore

Is Wilder going to Coventry?!!

Good signing for Coventry. Not sure what to expect from Derby next season - surely another relegation struggle unless they find some clever signings.
Are they officially safe from last season yet? Read a couple of weeks back that The EFL are still trying to relegate them?

People were indeed moaning that we were showing no ambition, but it would have been further proof of Wilders catastrophic transfer dealings when given large sums to spend. Only Egan / Ramsdale have been a real success.

There were people on here moaning when we didn't outbid Derby's £5m.

I certainly wasn't one of them, coming from a keen Celtic family, we all took great delight in his absolute uselessness.
I was absolutely dreading him signing for us, especially for the money that was being talked about

Proper sliding doors moment for Waghorn choosing Derby above us. Will never play in The Premier League again now.

Sliding doors maybe for us too as Waghorn may have meant no Didz

I remember the meltdown well. We were also in for Jack Marriott for about 3 million but he also went to Derby to partner Waghorn for £6 million. Meltdown there too. He was gonna be the new Billy Sharp and his replacement. We just took Didz on a free instead and kept Billy.

About 15 goals and 14 million quid between them later, Marriott now finds himself at Posh again on a free, Waghorn at Coventry. Our best partnership 3 years on from that is still Billy and Didz, and probably the fan base is split on who their all time favourite forward is out of Billy and Didz. Funny old world.

Just goes to show how shite Lampard was at Derby despite the media spinning him doing a fantastic job. £14 million strike force. Harry Wilson and Mason Mount behind them, £25 million pound AC milan's Tomori, Bogle, plus loads of great kids coming through, finished about 17 points behind little old United on a transfer budget that looks more like their weekly wage budget and still failed to go up. He got probably the 3rd biggest job in the country based on that performance, and despite Wilder getting us to 5th in the league with 8 games to go and lockdown happening, 12 months after guiding us to 5th he is out of work and is probably going to be looking at a league one club cos nobody will hire him in the championship let alone prem.

P.s cheers for the shoutout on the last pod, i felt a little bad though. ''Someone messaged me something absolutely ridiculous the other day about wanting the new manager to fail so we can get wilder back in, i think it was Berlin Blade'' ?!?!?! Nearly dropped my Bratwurst mate, nothing to do with me that one!

The funniest thing about the Didzy outrage at the time waS that he was on trial. Knucklescrapers and kids getting irate because a player was training with us. I was active on Twitter then and the vitriol was embarrassing. Was I underwhelmed? Yes because he had injuries that season but when he played at Bramall Lane for Ipswich he was excellent so I completely trusted CWAK judgement to bring him and take a look.

Then I saw him feature against Doncaster in a pre-season friendly where him and RND were outstanding.

❤️ Didzy ❤️

It was a Berlin Blade on Twitter. Don't think he was saying he wanted Slav to fail just that if he did it meant Wilder could come back.

Oh right! That’s confusing, that used to be my handle on there before I was banned for an interaction with Jeremy Hunt about 2 years ago. I gotta meet this guy, I can feel a fan club coming on!

Funny isn't it. There were many me included that thought that McGoldrick was on "OK" signing but we're disappointed to miss out on Waghorn.

Couldn't have been more glad we got DM and didn't sign Waghorn. Certainly not for the 8m or whatever.

Just wish McGoldrick was still 5 yrs younger!

Is Jeremy Hunt rhyming slang?! Is this more sinister that it sounds?!
