seem to recall his name cropping up over the years as a player we would like, but watching him for Rangers today and he is poor.

Looks a little heavy, lacks pace, lacks a football brain and basically been a waste of a Rangers shirt if you ask me.
Holt been Rangers best player IMHO....and just brought on OHalloran who I believe we had on loan....and was useless for us.

But the quality...dreary me.

No wonder Scots premier players struggle to get in league one sides.

Posted as they scored....watch the useless chuff score a winner!

Overall it has been an awful game to watch.

A bunch of cloggers with little quality and the likes of Dembele and Sinclair will end up elsewhere.

Interesting the the Celtic lot were expecting a record score today, to surpass the one set in 1957 of 7-1 in a cup final.

Just goes to show football is a funny game.

I always liked Jason holt when he played for us! I feel he'd fit in well in the current side!

Yep all blood and thunder.

Though I didn't think Dembele or Sinclair were up to much either.
The Celtic goalscorer has a sweet left foot, he can hit a ball. Brown controlled the Celtic game, and Tavernier was the best defender on the pitch for Rangers.
But of the two squads, I wouldn't be hammering on the door for many of the players on show, even if we were in a position to. Perhaps Tavernier would be a possibility if we go up.

Friend of mine is a Rangers fan and he always says Tavernier is a liability usually when defending. Gets caught out of position a lot.

Not being a smart arse, but that could be because his team mates lose the ball when he's committed forward. He's a full back that likes to get forward.
Has pace, strong and decent touch. As a wing back he could be worth a look.

Should have signed Tavernier when we signed Brayford.

Love the atmosphere and blood and thunder, but the overall quality is quite poor.

Also anyone else notice the minimal segregation under the circumstances. Imagine SYP having to Police a Glasgow derby :D:eek:

The problems with Old Firm games mostly occur afterwards in the city, and not at the ground. The worst violence is usually between people who know each other well in everyday life but are in opposing camps. It is alcohol-fuelled, but a very interesting psychological phenomenon. I know a lad who was put in hospital for 3 months by his best mate the night that the Gers beat the Papists and won the title.

So did I, had a very nice touch and good range of passing, popped up to score the odd goal too.
But he's no John Fleck.

He's definitely no Scottish Iniesta. Could see him doing a job, probably the kind of player you could bring on for Duffs when he's tiring a bit.
