Too intelligentnot fat enough
Even Gillingham - Newcastle has more headlines than us and don't remember tension between the two of them, they've probably never played each other. I think media didn't get the result they wanted as we are apparently the bad guys here.
The national media are really embarrassing themselves today with their bitterness. Just read the Mirror report. Jesus. West Ham were brilliant and had us chasing shadows all night. We got one huge slice of luck and were awful.
Then the players ratings. Every West Ham players gets a 7 or above whilst ours are all 4 and 5's other than Howard who only gets a 7 himself.
Usually when a third tier team beats a Premiership one, the third tier side gets the credit. Not here though. Not with West Ham.
Well done Cloughie. You really pissed them off last night.
Can't wrap chips in newspaper any more - something to do with the ink being bad for your health which, when it's printed with bile and bitterness like the Mirror and the Mail, is probably spot on.It's the DAILY MIRROR.
My only relationship with that 'newspaper' - and i use the term grudgingly - is via the medium of it being wrapped around my chips. And I even resent that.

I think the Mirror have had second thoughts about that report, the online version has been altetred to a slightly less biased version.

Yeah they have changed it heavily from the paper version. Hopefully someone took Darren Lewis to one side and said "Look mate, your report it really, really embarrassing. You aren't even trying to hide your disappointment. Go back and do it again "
Our sports journalists as a whole are awful. Just relying on cliches and forever pandering to their favourites. This was summed up by how they totally underplayed just how appalling Steven Gerrard was at the World Cup. He was England's worst player in both games but still came out with 6/10 in most papers.
I think it's mainly been re-written to include the manager's reactions which weren't available previously.

Edit: Now the Guardian have a story on us. My apologies.
