Have to be honest, I was worried about tonight after learning we'd lost O'Connell as well as Basham for the game... Feel a bit daft now.

I thought Cranie was absolutely fantastic this evening. On multiple occasions just seemed to be in exactly the right position to nick the ball away from their on-rushing midfielders, won headers against their centre forward that (let's be honest) he shouldn't be winning & looked like he'd been starting for us all season long.

Well played lad.

Well played lad.

Mini Bash. Obviously still a big fucker who you wouldn`t mess unless you had a death wish.

Tonight Matthew I`m going to be Chris Basham.........

Played well tonight. Starting to fit in.

He gives me a lot more confidence at the back than Basham...

Logged in to agree. Outstanding in everything he did. Got forward a couple of times as well and fitted in seamlessly.
A fabulous effort tonight in a huge game against dinosaurs.
One of us.

Great feet. Better than Basham technically and a very good defender to boot.

We needn’t worry in future. He offers a different style from RCB to Bash but still very effective if he has players around him in forward areas.

I’ve not seen a lot of him before, but he looks a proper footballer. Touch and composure on top of defensive excellence tonight. Even a couple of bombs forwards in the Basham style. I had Billy MOTM with Cranie not far behind.

What our management can find/do with limited funds is amazing.

If have to agree. In the nicest possible way Bash is the anti footballer nothing he does is orthodox but he does get the job done and he does it well.. I was extremely impressing with both Cranies defending and technical ability I know he’s played well before but this is the first time I’ve watched him.

He won’t dislodge Basham due Bashams forward runs bring integral to our game plan but it’s great to know we have a very very capabale deputy just a shame we don’t have a left footed Cranie too

Cranie was very good.
As was our defence on keeping another clean sheet against the best scoring away team I believe.

Slipped into the team like a glove. Decent cover in whatever that back 3 was tonight.

Previous games he's looked good defensively, but slow with the ball. Today was an all round performance. Still at the plenty of potential stage. But so far, so good.

Was my Man of the Match tonight, I too was worried but thought he was excellent

Great shift from him, love that. He looked just as good playing wing-back as he did in the back three. Like others have said, looked better on the ball tonight than I thought he was.

Seems Bizarre the lad was struggling to find a club!

I thought he did well, won his battles, kept things simple and ran his nuts off.

Earned his extension, and dare I say if we are in the championship next season would be well worth another deal. Both him and Stearman proven their worth and a prime example of what a model pro looks like.
