Have we ever had a scenario whereby we have 4 attacking players across the park that are all Scottish?

Murphy, Scougs, McNulty, Flynn

Baxter doesn't count, but had he have been born a further 100 miles north possibly so :)

I wouldnt say he is massively fast, but he puts a shift in. Finishing is probably the best part of his game.

Cheers. I think this makes it highly unlikely that we'll try to sign Billy Sharp. I reckon Ched Evans will join us eventually. I would like us to look for someone very pacey as well, preferably someone who can play both wide and up front. I also wonder if Clough would like to add one more target man, even if Porter does sign on.

Apparently Chris O'Grady has been staying in a nearby hotel and seen at Shirecliffe. Rumoured to sign next week. Could be the pacey link we need with Ched and McNulty if true

Now this is the sort of signing we should be making, young, highly regarded player with his career in front of him, makes the Campbell-Ryce signing all the more puzzling.

Why? One player is highly experienced in this league with a proven track record. One is highly regarded and no experience in English football.

It's a team game and you need a balance and blend of experience and potential.

years for our youth system, (perhaps the last real prospect we have left is Keaghan Jacobs and Darren Jamieson).

. Next year we will have visits from Rangers, Hearts and after the results of the play-offs Hibs! So the Scottish Championship looks like being an interesting and competitive league next year, probably more so than the Premiership.[/QUOTE]

Fixed, no charge.:mad::mad::mad:

If this is true i'll be happy. COG was always a player I wanted at United and was surprised when Dave Jones let him go. He leads the line well but seems a bit more intelligent with his positioning meaning he chips in with a good goal return.

NC says he wants a couple more strikers and Mcnulty is one for the future.not the main one, He's hoping to make 3 more signings....

UTB

The jury is out on whether a regular scorer in that league can do well in our league (hello Lyle Taylor), but Scougall has done well so here's hoping McNulty can do the same.

We need a minimum of 15 goals from our regular forwards...

Why would Chris Ogrady be staying in a hotel near here ,hes been at the Pigs and Dingles for the last few years ,surely he will have somewhere within travelling distance.
Don't get me wrong I advocated his signing weeks ago but don't think it will happen.

A couple of things NC said " I was interested in him for Derby" - well they are a step up from us so the lad must be value for this level.

Also " Marc will be part of a strong strike force next season and hopefully will take his chances when he gets them" -bring it on!!!

Hope the lad does well but hopefully cloughy will bring one proven striker at this level in like assombolonga

McNulty did well last season as more of a supplier of goals to Iain Russell and has set up a few goals this season too. Preferred him to be used as a main striker because he's a good finisher but he is versatile and puts in a great ball from the wings. Isn't lightening quick but he has a decent burst of pace to trouble defenders and is a constant pain in the erse to them making runs.

Hope he does well for you, he's been a good player for us and I'm sorry to see him leave.

More Scots in the team.

Not one to start a rumour but I've heard from a mate scotland fully expect to get independance and Clough is running some scam to get those who wish to remain part of Britain out of the country, he's charging a hefty fee and forcing them to play for the blades, that stefan scougall has come down on a false passport, he's only 12 years old.

It's all rumours though and I don't wanna reveal my sauce!

Sounds like Deano from that description. Is he any good in the air?

Sparky same as Scougall, you all seem to put the Scottiish leagues down, I'd love it if he started banging them in.

Actually the same as when i started coming on here when you signed Scougall, and you thought Murphy was rank rotten, and now you think he is unreal and one of your best assets

Most of our squad was rank rotten at that point, but Cloughy and his management team have since woven some magic and they're now all world-beaters !!

I take it he is small? We always go with small scottish lads, but the way they played at the end of last season bring on some more wee men!

Think a few of the other livi fans here have covered this, but McNulty is a decent wee striker and I would be amazed if he didn’t do a job for you. He’s used to Scougs game, so there is no reason why the two of them can’t link up again. He rarely stands still so will torment defenders.
Given we seem to have become your feeder club, hope you’re pushing for promotion next year. Best of luck and I hope Scougs and Sparky (McNulty) play key roles.

I would like to see the Blades, in some way repay the favour, by loaning some of our really good youngsters, and at least offer them a pre-season fixture.

Best of luck next season Livi.
