Re: tonight's opener, I'm no goalkeeper but I'm pretty sure in goalkeeper ing training they would suggest that patting a defender on the back to congratulate them heading away a cross is only really acceptable when:

a) it's a good header away, and
b) the ball is away from danger

Just a thought.
 



His form has nose dived lately since he had that problem with his back.
 
My 13 year old is an academy keeper - he said immediately that if he had done that he would be in serious trouble...rightly so
 
He's a casual keeper. I don't know how to describe it. Not laid back exactly, but not really treating the situation with enough seriousness. Like it means nothing. And the words I've used are probably the wrong ones, but I find it difficult to put my finger on it exactly.

He's not good enough to be our keeper. Ok as a cover, but nothing more. Error prone and that kicking...
