Surprised if true because we're after Rothwell too who seems more likely?

Back up at Birmingham to back up here? Doubt hed want that. I think CW is on record as saying he wants 4 players in who can make an immediate contribution in the first 11 so doubt he fits the billl.
Im sure your sre right Wilder did mention players hes after are at prem clubs, I think that was about the loan slots available.

Birmingham are getting rid to recruit for a push into playoffs so why should we sign him unless Chris is looking more for staying in this league

hope thats correct and will have to be if we want to have a run at the top 6

If Peck's still here next season, having someone else do more of the mucky stuff could really allow him to take the shackles off a bit more often.

That's my concern not good enough for Birmingham, plays in Scottish football admittedly for a team that could win the league, just sets a few alarm bells ringing.
I've been trying to figure that out myself. There have been more than a few questioning why he hasn't been given more of a chance in the first team. Chris Davies seems to have his favourites and has frozen other top-end Championship players out at times this season (Doyle and Cashin, for example).

Well if we were one of the clubs that spoke to him in January it's not looking great,he allegedly said nothing persuaded him to go out from the conversations he had until Hearts came in and the talks he had with them were like chalk and cheese compared to the others who enquired about taking him.

I'm a big Wilder fan, but if we're actually looking at players like this guy, then I'm already really worried about the summer.

If he's not good enough for Birmingham, then he's not good enough for us. I know there's an exception in Duffy, but Trusty and Chong also played for Brum recently, before signing for us, and look at how shit they were/are.

As for doing well at Hearts, I reckon I could look a player in that league. I watched Hibs Celtic the other day and the quality is utterly dire. Most sides are League Two/League 1 at the very best, with Celtic/Rangers/Hearts at lower mid-table Champ standard. Who was that player Brum signed in the summer for nearly £10M? Kyogo? The guy who couldn't stop scoring for Celtic. He's got 1 goal in 28 games.

Mostly agree, but Tommy Doyle has pretty much been considered not good enough for Birmingham this season, and we know he's Championship quality. There can be good value in picking out players that other teams underestimate. Kind of like Wrexham with Moore or Norwich with Slimane.

At least Doyle has shown he's good enough for Champ level before, Leonard hasn't. As much as I dislike Moore, he's proven with Cardiff, Ipswich, Bournemouth etc that he's a good Champ player, unless Leonard is a free then I'm really not a fan of the deal.

Unfortunately we seem to have a better track record with players leaving us and pushing on rather than getting the best out of players that come here.

Fair enough. I see the potential in it, but it is a gamble compared to an established Championship player. Did a lot right in the (relatively short) time he played for Birmingham in the Championship. Tronstad is available on a free...
