I get that Swiss ! just that every, new post seems to attract a comment of that nature.
It's wearing a bit thin now and what we want is some positivity going into the window and beyond ,not all doom and gloom going forward.
Fair enough, bit of a ring tone and fax machine scenario, it'll just keep getting recirculated.

The big point is though, not us fans making shite jokes, but that many of the players we have signed since summer 2019 have suffered with injuries which have sidelined them for more than 2 weeks? Why?

I can only think of Hamer, Souza and Holgate who've not suffered with injury

It's not just us, the entire divsion has been hit with these injuries and if it's not injuries, its fatigue or lack of fitness. So again, whats to say that signing a player who's hardly missed a game this season, that he won't go the same route of our squad next season.

Wilder always used to speak of the profile of players, what attributes we look for... I'd say that we need to add that we look for players that have muscles, tendons and ligaments that aren't the same consistency as a 1 week old strawberry

Gallows humour, but

We don’t have a great track record in the last 4-5 years of signing quality players that stay fit.

All three managers (wilder twice) have commented on the training facilities, wilder and hecky both have track records of over training players.

I hope we can get players in with good fitness track records as prior to the premier league promotion last time around we had a very good fitness record in terms of soft tissue injuries, players came back quickly. But over the last few seasons this has not been the case
Hecky and Wilder overtraining players, seriously. Have you seen us in the last 20 mins of a game, we're out on our feet.

Under Wilder in the EFL and year one of the premier league our ability to pick the same side if we wanted most games was a real strong point. Only Coutts leg break really hurt us.

think its not so much that our players are not fit enough we cant last the 90 because of constantly only having 25% possesion in every game and forever chasing the ball the squad of players weve got are simply not good enough for the premier league thats not their fault they were thrown under a bus before a ball was kicked by our wonderful owner

What is this running about thing out of possession you're discussing. Something I am not used to.

It hurt him too 😭

I well recall that night and the devastating incident.
He was running the show for us that season.

Are we actually in for him tho ? Because knowing this recruitment team they’ve probably never heard of him or seen him he il end up at Coventry or Preston and end up ripping it up an been worth a few bob zero faith in us this summer wear always too slow to react

We just don't tend to do many permanent signings unless we're in the PL and then you wish we just stuck to loans!

Thought Celtic and Rangers were interested?

I understand we don't have the greatest track record recently with players coming in but, by God, why are people getting so upset about a couple of players going elsewhere?! Likelihood is we weren't even interested in them. We may well have even better options lined up. No-one knows. The season's not even over yet. Let's enjoy tomorrow, give the players leaving a good send off and let Wilder and Co do their jobs in getting the right players in.

He was too mate. we had a dynamic midfield in those days, with Fleck and Duffy complimenting Coutts perfectly. I know that some on here see Norwood as a better player, but Coutts offered so much more for me. Don't get me wrong, the loss of Coutts was catastrophic and to get a player like Norwood turned out to make Coutts' loss far less of a problem than it could have been. I think that anyone who saw peak Coutts could see just how much he dictated our play........and then that thug Sordell put a genuinely great player to the sword. Coutts had adjusted to the demands of the Championship and looked every part the midfield general, what a loss that guy was.

Coutts was fantastic I like Scottish midfielders as they can play a simple ball, battle and can tackle (scougal aside) but Norwood for us changed the dimensions and was much needed not just to fill the hole but giving the team a lift.
