Until we get a couple of midfielders who can make the 10 yard passes coming out of defence, we will struggle. Perhaps we should pair S. Quinn with Law and see what they can do for us against West Ham and Watford.

Whilst both talented and in form, they are no where near strong enough to play together yet.

Have to agree, although i too am becoming somewhat disheartened with the lack of options we have in the centre of midfield. I just pray that Neil has at least 2 in mind for January and that they are brought in on January 1st.

Yeah, that would be why they were constantly playing it between the back 4 trying to draw us out.

The times we attacked (and stayed up in numbers) they walked all over us!

Exactly what I was trying to point out to somone, they said it was boring most of the game with that going on. You could see even Hulse and CKR were not going for the ball, everyone more or less needed to be behind it. Sure the game would have been entertaining if we had pushed up all the time but I would hate to think what the scoreline would have been then. First team to scre against Man U aswell in 5 games or something like that so there's definatley something going right our way :)

We are the first team this season to score against a combination of that back 4 and keeper I think.

Good goal it was too! :)

Shame that we are joint lowest goalscorers mind.........

Surely then a goal against a team and defense of that calibure will give a lot of confidence. I know you are just stating fact, but I would sure hate it if you were a motivational coach for someone ;)

and ......... we onli have to win 1 - 0 every time we win and i would be happy with that bad performance or good performance

Does nobody think it should've been a penalty?

First one was slightly more convincing that the second but from where I was sat, the first one looked like Saha just dived to the floor.

Scholes made a great big fat supersize meal of the second one and he's a cheating little ginger sod anyway.

Does anyone think it was a foul when he maliciously went over the top of the ball and stamped Alan Quinn? Miraculous that doesn't get shown again on TV.

EDIT: Image gallery HERE

I didn't think the first one was until I saw the replay - at which point I thought we were INCREDIBLY lucky especially considering it was ManUre.

But the 2nd one was just ginger-ridiculousness.
