A few Manchester tips for those who may not have been for a while.
The Northern quarter is now a decent place to booze, it does get busy but ale choice is good.
Chorlton is even better, with a range of small independent bars with a great ale range.
Abduls kebabs on Rusholme road is still the best place to eat.
Anyone seeking a chip butty should ask for a chip barm...
Granada TV studios have moved so you won't see the stars in the pubs near the Liverpool road anymore.
The match day coach specials still arrive from Somerset, Sussex and Swindon bringing in the Man Utd fans.
The national football museum is simply brilliant and next to Victoria train station, which is now unrecognisable.
The central art gallery has a banksy and some fine early industrial oil paintings.
Bernard Manning's world famous Embassy club is no more.
People are still killed in Salford.
The Stone Roses, Joy Division, The Smiths and Oasis will not be heard in The Boardwalk or The Hacienda ever again.
Enjoy yourself as we have more chance of going back to play Salford City than we have of going back to the two Manc clubs anytime soon.
