1) My first and favourite candidate would be Paul Cook. I did my work experince at Chesterfield and the project and attention to detail Paul takes is phenominal. He has also litreally had a very small budget at Chesterfield and has done very well at recruitment and devloped Eoin Doyle into a goalscorer. His football is very enterntaing and that shows with them beating Colchester 6-0. He also unlike Clough sets up to win. He also won L2 last season and has taken Chesterfield into the play offs. Paul is a man motivator and will get the players up for games like Yeovil, unllike Clough.

2) Nigel Adkins, has 2 promotions from this league and is out of a job. He showed he can take teams straight up as he took Southampton from L1 up to Champ then to PL. He also signed many good players for Southampton such as Rickie Lambert i think. He will set up the team to win too and play very good football.

3) Chris Morgan, i would let Chris have a crack at it next season. He will play fast attacking football and tighten up the defence. He also is a man motivator as we already know of. Morgan would set up to win and hopefully interigate the youngsters into the squad such as DCL.

NO STICK PLEASE.

Warbuton would also be one but i doubt he'd move down here and i think he'd have another job lined up.

I thought your post was balanced, well argued and you suggest good candidates........... Until point 3 then it fell apart.

I've given up speculating about NCs future here. He has become bigger than the club and unless he really cocks up (some more) can't see him going anywhere, think Prince might go before he does.

With such negative football It's been hard motivating myself to renew the families season tickets but as my son said so enthusiastically last night "what else would we do on Saturdays?".

Maybe replace CM with Warbuton. Or maybe we give Cloughie 1 more year?

I'll do the job. I can de-motivate players, suddenly reinvigorate teams like Yeovil and Crewe and fail to get promotion. I'll do it for £100k a year.

Previous record of footballing success? None whatsoever. Like Clough.

Throw in A-Zs of Derby, Blackpool and Scotland and I'll do the scouting job as well.

The most likely course of events, for me:

a) United to make plyoffs
b) United to be eliminated from playoffs
c) Clough to be sacked

I strongly suspect that the Prince may feel the best way to way to protect his investment would be not to give Clough another preseason.

if we dont go up. stick with n/c till xmas. if nothing changes by then. then go for someone else there will be even more unemployed managers to choose from by then what have we got to lose

Perhaps a post if we don't achieve promotion IMO .

No on all 3 , especially number 3.

Stick with what we have got . Timing is everything and the time is not now.

UTB

There were two teams out there last night who looked as if they had nothing to play for. all the talk is about injury and tiredness we have the biggest squad in the division if tiredness is the problem then this was a great chance to rest the main squad of players cos yeovil are poor and give other squad members there chance to shine. is this going to be the excuse if we lose to bradford

3 Options ..............
1. sack him on 3rd of May
2. sack him on 10/11th of May
3. sack him on 24th of May win or lose

Then let the man finish the season, we are in the play offs at the moment, lets get behind the man and the team to ensure we get over the line.

Then we may have at least two big games to get behind them and with luck a third.

There is a long way to go yet.
Agree but it's natural for folk to speculate isn't it?

Can't really see this thread and the views of some random [and in one or two cases, unhinged] folk having that much of an impact - can you?

Two options for me
1- Nigel Adkins- as stated 3 promotions from lg1, both automatic & play off

2-Karl Robinson- as a love for us for some reason. Young yet experienced. Teams play fast goal scoring football & signs young players

UOTE= "Aston max, po st: 745318, member: 15234"]What about pellegrini he will be looking for a job soon :D[/QUOTE]
Or Even Neil the knob :p

What about a thread for replacement fans for those who give up way to easy

they moan about Clough but give up after our first away loss in months

Can I just be the first to say "Adkins out!" ;)
