Man City banned,Champions league for 5th

"CAS investigated thoroughly, and had a change of heart following weeks of fine dining, gold plated rolex watches, expensive cars and top class escort services, a spokesperson said"

;););) allegedley...ahem

FFP would officially be finished, so that's one positive.

The current system is completely flawed.

"OK, we're guilty, we accept that. But if you ban us, then that might mean Sheffield United are in Europe next season. Think about that, for a moment."

Been contacted by a mate of mine who supports city that the fella who tweeted that is very much A citeh version of Alan Biggs nowadays. And not to take too much from it. We can only hope. 🤞

To be fair, how have Madrid, Batxa and PSG avoided it all this time?

PSG got pinged at the same time as City did, they just didn't do it quite so ridiculously to be worthy of further discussion. Real and Barca, really?

There may come a time, in the future, when football is run ethically, when managers cannot be sacked after just 3 games of a new season, when football clubs cannot flaunt the rules and get away with it, when refereeing decisions are the domain of the man on the pitch and technology is used to assist him, not over-rule him, when players cannot earn the annual wages of the common man within an hour.

When that day comes, you and I will be much older. But if you are still around, you'll be able to sit your Blades grandkids on your knee and tell them how it used to be. How they tried to take the game away from the common man and how they tolerated corruption from the big clubs, just to keep the money flowing.

You'll be able to reminisce about how football used to be a contact sport, where players were allowed to tackle each other and head the ball. How it ran for 90 minutes or more, with only a short break at half-time, and not several breaks for TV advertising.

And your grandkids will look up at you and say...

"Don't be silly Grandad!"

But you'll have lived it. Because you are living it now.
